How to easily unlock the Tengu skin in Sekiro

After you complete the Gauntlet of strength: Severance, you will unlock the Inner Isshin boss right which is replayable using the new "reflections" system, as well as one of the newer skins ( Tengu). This update is A1 go play it.

Keep playing and you will get there. This game is fantastic. If I'm trying to learn I just go in and play defensively. No attacking at all. Try to get to the point to where they cannot hit you anymore and then sprinkle in your offense

Guardian ape is pretty easy. I actually think phase 1 is harder than phase 2 so I always ‘cheese’ phase 1 with tanto + yashariku, then combo firecrackers/mortal draw twice

Phase 1 was pretty difficult, but once you got the pattern down, smooth sailing from there on out. It took me approximately 4 tries to get to phase 2. And Phase 2 was pretty easy, you just gotta parry every swing 👍

Most combat arts can interrupt him yet using the mortal blade with spirit emblems is the best way just run to the right get behind him and use 6 spirit emblems to hit him with the mortal blade twice gives you a good head start

yes! I actually fought him a few times recently and used that. I just prefer a more aggressive style attacking his posture and gettin him to throw an attack that I can easily parry ( from having died to him so many times ) but thats very helpful!

I fought all the bosses required for the gauntlet seperately until I was confident, then I got through all of them so I could unlock his memory. After dying all I had to do was kill inner isshin a bunch of times in memory till I was confident and boom done with that gauntlet in 2 runs.

When he does his jump grab the way to avoid it every time and get a ton of hits in for free is to sprint to either side then as he leaves the floor run towards him, but not straight, bend your run and he'll miss every time.

Tips for owl: dodge into him when he throws his firecracker, not to the left or right also bait him by letting him break your posture it's a little risky but if you dodge his step you can get 1-2 hits in (unblocked) and refresh your posture

Even better, the firecracker throw is the one attack where you can land a stab on him, you charge forward so it's basically a dodge but you land one clean hit at the same time

In the last phase of the monk it's even easier to just throw fistful of ash, couple hit, fistful of ash, couple hits, rinse and repeat.

You can kill Isshin extremely fast by running away and baiting a jump attack in phase 2, cutting him once, and running away. I figured this out on my own and I don’t know how to feel about it. In phase 3 do this again but deflect lightning whenever possible

For people who struggle with guardian ape a little cheese I found for the first phase is to keep your distance then the second you see him reach behind him to do the shit toss run toward him he will jump over you and you can get 2 free hits on him do this over and over and phase one should be done without taking much or any damage at all

You unlock the gauntlets whem you beat the game, but it depend in wich ending you did, the outfits remain forever, you just have to get it, good luck!

No. Same attack power and vitality basically if you upgraded all of your vitality. So you can't grind attack power in order to do more damage in the gauntlets. However, using demon bell and/or charmless does carry over to the gauntlets.

Instead of relying on timed dodges, you mostly just block when the time is right ( or deflect ). This builds up he enemy posture and once it’s full you can land a deathblow.

Hey bud, sometimes a little break is all you need. Also if I could give some advice, if you stand at essentially the same range it helps control their move-set after you attack them. For instance with Guardian Ape, he usually won’t do his roar attack if you’re far away, he does it when you’re close beating on him. Now think every boss has that but for different attacks.

Sekiro is a game of enormous patience. A little lesser than Dark Souls or Bloodbourne imo. But it was hella rewardable to defeat him on my first run of the game. I would just go in casually and expect myself to lose in order to see me win after the 10th or 20th try. Recognize the moves and combo's of his kit and use an aggressive playstyle with some caution and you will defeat him. His 2nd phase is unbalanced. Really difficult to understand after a few tries unless you wanna learn and just block or run. The third phase was such a rush and the lightning actually does most of the work :/ . But hang in there! Its a fun game!

Then try again in a little later. Been doing it no stop and ALSO looks like they buffed sword saint? Cus most of the tutorials I saw on KZbin don't work anymore. Unless you have a million divine rice or whatever er those items ive never heard of are. Ceremonial dagger or something? Its just impossible and terrible design they make the boss this impossible to beat unless you are an item hoarder. I never used any items so I never collected any ceremony daggers or whatever else those things are people use. I don't even have the umbrella skill. Horrible game design if I can't even get the umbrella or other items to help me because certain idols are not available after you make it to the final boss.

The key to beating him is just no mercy or better "hesitation is defeat." You really gotta be the attacker in this fight, but the second phase is what usually gets people.

When he shoots his gun or jumps with his spear. Use the umbrella. Parry his spear moves first tho. I had trouble but it becomes easy when u learn the moveset
