How to eat cheap abroad | Where to do groceries and how to save money on food while studying abroad

In today's video I will share with You my life hack for eating cheap abroad. I will tell You where to do Your groceries, how to get the best deals, how to save money on food and where to eat out to not spend a fortune. I live outside of my home country for years and honestly I hate to waste money and throw away leftover food - that's why I decided to share with You my knowledge, based on my experience abroad, living alone and with friends on how to eat cheaper while being an Erasmus student, studying abroad or staying abroad or living in a foreign country.

Mostly for us it ends up being MaccyDs! (I know that's bad!)

hahaha I mean once in a while is not so bad - but definitely in US for example that's why they have so many problems with obesy - because cheap food = bad food (mostly fast foods), here in Europe (at least in countries I was living) the normal quality food and veggies and fruits are not 5 times more expensive than frozen meals or fast foods - in US unfortunatelly yes 😔 how is it in UK? PS it took me a second to understand what do You mean by MaccyD hahaha

@@ByMagdaYT I think it might by only round near where I live that calls them MaccyDs! I get strange looks elsewhere in the UK when I say it like this too! I certainly see your point about the US and it is soooo tempting when you are across there - too tempting. The UK was certainly going that way for a while but quite a lot of our fast food places do now offer healthy options at least - whether or not anybody actually goes for them is another thing! :)

@@SciFirstMovieTalk internet said "british slang" 😂 and that's nice that there are healthier options - for example in Poland it's not that cheap in comparison to places where You can get "restaurant" quality foods but it changes as well and obviously it's much faster to go to bug commercial fast food than wait for a table in the restaurant so that's what convince ppl a lot - but a difference in prices between fast food and real restaurant is not big while typical Polish food in not a restaurant but more like a bar (like 3 tables or sometimes even only take away because they have tables just outside and it's available only during summer) are much less expensive and You'll get definitely better food and it's kinda fast too 🤷 but traveling is also a good excuse - fast, we need energy, we walk a lot so we can treat ourselves with trashy food 😂 I do it sometimes too 🤷

@@ByMagdaYT Ah, fantastic that the internet translates that kind of word - excellent! That's interesting you should say about the price of meals - I think that's a big factor with a lot of people - easting healthy isn`t as cheap as eating fast food in the UK and a lot of people just can`t afford the higher priced items and so we go in this vicious circle - nothing moves.
