Hello, I finnaly figured out what is the difference between a static homepage and blog feed.:)). So, thank you for this! I have a question though: I'm stuck at building my simple one and only page and just want to do a simple static page with affiliate link from amazon in order to promote a product. Can you suggest me, what theme and plug-in to use so I can edit it in full like fonts, size of the letters, color of the button, color of the layout? Thank you for the suggestions in advance!

Hi, I my developer is away and I need to remove a subscribe box from the footer of my pages. I can edit the pages - but then I am not sure exactly what to do when I am on the section I need to delete - and I don't want to mess it up as my developer is away. Can you help?

That would heavily depend on your WordPress theme, normally if it is in the footer of your site you would be able to remove it under Appearance>Customize.

I am using a ThemeArile "ConsultStreet Pro" theme in Wordpress. I have created several other pages besides the home page. I have assigned a "Template" page from the Consultstreet pro theme on each page from the wordpress dashboard "pages" "edit." The problem I am running into is when I change something on one of the pages (in the "themes" "customize" section), it changes it on all the pages. How can I edit each page independently? I tried going to the WP dashboard & going to pages, but when I go there & click on a page & "edit" it is just a blank page with the title of the page shown & no blocks, no theme no nothing. In your video when you go to the wordpress dashboard & go to "pages" "edit" it shows your theme in there. You mentioned "Gutenburg" ... Could you please explain what that is or what I need to do so I can see my Consultstreet theme in the wordpress dashboard "pages" "edit" section? I am missing something there. I learned website coding a long time ago & always used Adobe Dreamweaver to edit my websites. This is a whole new world. The whole dashboard section plus the theme customizing section just gets confusing. Thank you for your time!

The themes>Customize area would be for the general template of your site and unless there is a page specific template then the pages are designed to all have close to the same look. What if I haven’t got a homepage option in the drop down page list? I go on the website it has a home page, I search in pages and there’s no homepage🤔 Do I need to create one? If so, what happens to the homepage already showing on my site and how do I delete it if it stays there and I end up with 2 homepages when it doesn’t appear in my pages list🤷🏻‍♂️

That likely means that your the has a default homepage template. To change the design you would need to check your options under Appearance>Customize, or use a tool like SeedProd for more advanced customizations.

@@wpbeginner Ok, I’ve gone through appearance/custom I found homepage under core, I clicked on it and it has the same setup as in settings I.E fixed page then a drop down box for selecting the page. There was no homepage🤦🏻‍♂️ so I came out of the drop down , underneath it said add page. So I added homepage, published it. Then looked in pages and homepage-front page was listed. I opened the website, the new homepage was there. I clicked on the menu, pressed home and it took me to the new (fixed) home page. Woohoo😂 thanks for that👍🏻 I’m thinking that’s why I’ve been unable to design my header on the homepage🤔 could be a game changer.

If your changes are reflected when not in incognito then we would recommend checking that your hosting provider does not have a cache that could be causing the conflict!

Please ensure you have a page published for it to be an option to select and that is the most common reason for that issue.
