BIG NEWS! Skylum has just launched a summer sale where you can save a massive 81% off Luminar Neo here bit.ly/NeoSale But the cool thing is in addition to that they've given me a coupon code to share with you so you get to save ANOTHER 20% (use code AFF-T5C1C0 ) I really hope that helps you out! It should work for both the perpetual licence and the subscription too. Enjoy😄 Best wishes, Anthony

nice one. what bugs me is the halo around the dome of the building, here should Luminar do some improvements
@larrypalmer7136 Жыл бұрын
I agree. I kept hoping he would address that as that is a frequent problem that I can't find a fix for.
@zardosspinosa6944 Жыл бұрын
@@larrypalmer7136 Yep to me that was a deal breaker, made the edit worthless.

That halo around the dome would have consigned that edit to the bin

Love the punchy result Anthony! Question: At the beginning, you exported in the Adobe RGB colour space, to get a greater colour palette I assume. Are you able to do this because you have an Adobe RGB-capable monitor? I read Adobe RGB is not desirable for normal monitors, as the colours will look all off.
@AnthonyTurnham Жыл бұрын
Hi Carl. Great question. While I do have a 99% coverage of the Adobe Colorspace with my monitor I would still work in that space or even ProPhoto until I'd finished my edit. Even if my monitor couldn't recreate the full colour gamut. Reason being as I'm making adjustments and edits the larger colorspace is giving the software more to work with before the image starts to degrade too much. It's like working in 16bits of data even though the final viewable export will be an 8 bit file most probably in sRGB. Does that make sense?
@Centauri27 Жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyTurnham But if your monitor can't display the colours correctly, won't that make it very difficult to edit properly? From what I've seen, an Adobe RGB photo looks way off on a sRGB monitor. (Well, that was years ago. Maybe I should try it again.)

A great video - and has given me many ideas to try out for B&W conversions.

Hi Anthony, Thank you for another excellent Luminar Neo video. Your tutorials have taught me a great deal about effectively using this application for my images. In your opinion, where in the image processing workflow is noise reduction best applied? Happy holidays to you and your family.

Nice work again as always Anthony in navigating around the various tools at ones disposal in Luminar Neo. Having used it now for a couple of months, i have become more confident with your help and instruction, also developing my own (style) as it were and really have cut back on the over use of the many options available, less is more as it were, if one caught a decent exposure and composition. Just a quick Question. I shoot DNG raw files but cannot seem to get up develop raw, only develop, is this a problem for developing a raw file for its full potential. Pentax k1ii dslr, would Pentax raw files PEF allow me to develop raw to appear. Sorry in advance for listening to the same type of question a million times Merry Christmas to you and all Mark

Hi Tony love your vid’s. A quick question a couple of months ago I converted a pic to B/W and then I added a splash of colour to certain sections but I’m dawned I can remember how I did this. Can you please help? I’m using Luminar AI Cheers John.
@AnthonyTurnham Жыл бұрын
Hi John, you use the colour tool to do that effect. Drop the saturation sliders all the way down on all colours apart from the one you want to remain.
@johnheuer6371 Жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyTurnham thanks. I’ll give that a go. Cheers

Great instruction as always Anthony. i shoot DNG raw files in a Pentax K1ii dslr but cannot seem to get the develop raw to appear only develop. Sorry for this type of question for the one millionth time but am i losing out on develop raw or not even though its a DNG file that i load in the catalog i can shoot Pentax PEF raw files if that luminar neo will recognise them but apple photos won't. Merry Christmas to you and all belonging, Mark
@AnthonyTurnham Жыл бұрын
Thanks Mark. 😀 yeah give the Pentax native format a go. Dng is Adobe's format and while it's an excellent container format, it's extra data holders can sometimes play havoc with Luminar trying to read them. Thus rendering them out and leaving the raw data unaccessible.
@markflanagan521 Жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyTurnham Thank you Anthony, I will disengage iPhotos from loading my raw files and shoot in native PEF Pentax format and see where it leads too and hopefully Develop Raw will appear in the edit of Luminar Neo, to compare before and after. 🤔👍

Hi Anthony! I have the same problem with banding in the sky. It's almost impossible to get rid of these horizontal lines, even some RAW files tend to have this, especially when they have been over processed.😾 Nice black and white technique oh and thanks for showing us how to use the 'Dramatic' tool, now how about the 'Matt' tool? How is your father? Is he better? Are you spending Christmas and New Year in England? 😺 Merry Christmas from Felix the Cat.😸

When I move an edited picture the depth is on 8 and there is no possibility to change that. The number 8 is in Grey and not in black How can I solve this? I don't know if it is important but I use a Nikon Z6

Your room has a lot of reflections your mic is picking up... you might want to get a different mic with a tighter pattern or treat the room. Very nice video.

Thanks Kevin, I've got some sound panels up behind the camera, but good audio is something I'm still figuring out. Any recommendations for mic, room treatment or a decent video about it? Cheers.
