This video was really helpful, thank you! On Saturday night I followed along, copied as best as I could, and used this sound in church Sunday and it worked out beautifully (to my ears). Curious though where you downloaded the sounds you used -- the MKS, the PC88, the Nord sounds, etc. Would love to have some more of those at my disposal. Thanks again!

I had to let go of my MODX and Montage cuz the Acoustic Pianos sounded “thin.” I do miss everything else though, especially the ability to load samples onto the memory. Keep it up, i enjoyed watching your vids😉

There is a new montage coming out this week let’s see if they fixed the thin sounds problem. Motif sounds more full more bass without editing the sounds that’s what I’ve noticed.

Is there no polyphony issues? When I add more than 2 sounds, my notes start to cut off.

Yes, there are polyphony issues and it’s so annoying. I’ve noticed it when I layer either full concert grand with strings and bells or ballad keys with strings and bells or when I have more than six sounds layered. It really gets annoying when you’re playing live and the service and things start to cut off. The weird thing is there are other sounds that I layer and it doesn’t do that. My recommendation is keep it at four or five sounds layered. It shouldn’t be that bad.

Congratulations on your new board! Yes, it’s a huge upgrade from the XP 80! Unfortunately, those samples were made only specifically for the MONTAGE and MODX! But there is still a lot you can do with the CP-88, it’s an incredible stage piano, Enjoy it!!!

Bro I just bought the MODX +7 ....I got rid of the CP 76 ..... I have a question i have my iPad hooked up to it and trying to use the MKSensation extreme with it but i only get sounds when i touch the virtual keys on the IPad but when I press the keys on the keyboard i get no sounds ... what am I doing wrong or not doing?????

You probably have to go to the settings on the MKSensation go over, where it says audio and you probably have the audio set to your computer. You have to make sure it says MODX.

So it’s very easy you go to the link I put for the sounds stick them on a flash drive and put it on the back USB port of your keyboard MODX or montage and then you go to the menu and you load file in and then the sounds will Load into your memory bank as if it was factory like any other sound. This only works for MODX and Montage Models.

Which Motif Grand are you talking about? Do you mean the Full Grand from the Motif ES? On the MODX and Montage you only get the Full Concert Grand and Concert Grand which are a newer version of the Full Grand from the ES.

Bro I also loaded the XP80 pianos! And what I can remember from playing an actual XP80 the piano sounds pretty accurate! The point is the possibility’s are endless bro, so much you can do with this board!

Glad it helped you out! And yes I do use a sustain foot pedal for everything I play it’s a big part of playing keys! I don’t use the expression pedal though, but only having the sustain pedal really makes a difference when layering pads or strings by sustaining the sound to create the beautiful atmosphere!

But I find it sounds real muddy when I use the sustain pedal with the layered sounds and I use it correctly

You have to know how to control your volume levels for each part. Remember the pad is just your foundation, it’s a bed for the patch. Strings not too much, keep it under the pad. I don’t know how it sounds when you play it but that’s my recommendation. Maybe it might be sustain pedal that maybe not working correctly it could be a lot of things, because for me it doesn’t get muddy. I hope this helps.

Los Nords son sonidos individual solo son uno cada uno. Los Roland’s y los Korgs es un paquete que trae diferentes, una ves que ya los bajes se van a guardar en la sección categoría del keyboard y solo buscas bajo la sección de categoría sea donde dice All Roland o All Korg. Pero los Nords son sonidos individuales no es paquete como los otros bueno los que yo baje. Pero el señor que hace los samples pienso que tiene más sonidos para vender, los que baje son gratis son gratis pero si ya quieres la librería completa creo que tienes que comprarlos pero el tiene buenos sonidos gratis que a mí a sido de mucha Bendición y Ayuda! Yes, here is the link where you can download it. I also attached another link to the Nord Royal 3D Grand sample. The royal grand one will take a ton of memory space though, but once you have it on the flash, you can just load and unload back whenever you need either one.
