Great program, does everything Ps Lightroom will do only without all the fuss!

Indeed. I love Lightroom - but subscriptions and forever-pay are not for everyone.

Nice pace for an interesting introduction to DXO Photolabs that i just bought yesterday. Thank you. I would just have added the history tool demo to understand how we can come back at any time and compare precisely.

Glad you found it useful and I agree I should have covered the history tab. Next time :)

I am mostly a Lightroom - Classic and Mobile user with occasional forays into Photoshop - especially for Content Aware Removal. I am a very long-time user of NIK, 15 years or so, and maybe sentimentally gave DxO a try when they rescued NIK after Google nearly starved it to death. I tend to do most of my serious editing when travelling and I especially like the fact I can import into LR Mobile and do a few amount of editing and sync up to Adobe for completing editing on LRC when I get home. I use a Ricoh GRIII (most of my shots), a Fuji X-Pro2, and an iPhone 13 mini. After returning from our last big trip to Australia I run my RAF files through DxO for its superior RAF management and applied SeepPRIME and ClearViewPlus Smart lighting and exported to Lightroom and selectively use where I felt DxO did a better job. I enjoyed your video thanks.

Hi Martin, looks like you have it figured out. I highly recommend Lightroom to anyone who needs to untether their photo collection from their PC or Mac. However, as you say, as good as Lightroom is, its outdone in some areas such as noise reduction, upscaling, and sharpening. I'm still waiting for the do-it-all solution.

I bought the elite version yesterday and in the Effects Pallette I only have 2 options and you have so many. I have no idea why.

I also have the DxO FilmPack installed which PhotoLab absorbs. It's an extra I'm afraid.

My installation of Photolab 6 Elite does not have so many presets. Do you create your own presets, or download them from somewhere?
@silentpeakphoto1845 Жыл бұрын
It came with them. Are you sure you bought the Elite version? The Essential edition doesn't come with the Film Simulations pack.
@sansin6250 Жыл бұрын
@@silentpeakphoto1845 The film pack is sold separately though. Maybe you bought a bundle?

Silent Peak Photo nice video, but you have more than just PL 6 installed like San Sin pointed out. You probably have Film Pack installed on top of it too.
@taliosnz Жыл бұрын
@@ericboule6472 Just noticed that too - still just trialing PL6 (I see a new version came out tonight which now has Prime XL for Fuji - OH YES!) and just kicked off the film pack trial as well.

Is there a one click auto editor feature?
@silentpeakphoto1845 Жыл бұрын
Hi Icarus. Yes of sorts. PhotoLab 7 (and 6 if I recall) can be set to apply a DxO Standard preset as soon as you open your image. In most cases, it works very well.
