I've been using Urban Skin for about a year. For the first 6-7 months I noticed a brightness and clarity that I didn't have before. However, i didn't notice any fading of spots. Then, at about 10 months I realized i wasn't having to "cover" spots. They're still there, just very light and not noticeable. I love this stuff, but it does take consistency and patience.

I've been using the Urban Skin since Jan 23 based on your previous recommendation. I am now on my 5th tube which I just opened. I do see results and want to keep up with it but everything is just adding up to so much money lately! Therefore, I was thrilled to hear you say that you can cut back to a maintenance schedule of every other day or so - that will really make a difference. BTW, I also do it your way, applying first thing in the morning and then having coffee before going on with my skincare routine. So easy! Thank you for all you do!

Thanks for the cute little edits you added to the video. I know a few people have voiced dislike. Maybe lose the additional noise ones (they were a little distracting )but I hope you keep some of the visual ones. Mostly I just appreciate that you were trying to do something different. You certainly didn't need to add them as you present information in such a great way and don't need anything "gimmicky" to keep our attention.

Penne, I have to Thank you for a great breakdown of this product, when you first mentioned it I started a list of questions I wanted to ask you about it and you answered every one of them, mainly can I continue to use my current skincare routine and products, it’s like everything really, consistency is key to even the skincare and devices we all use, it’s no use investing in something new and you’re not going to use it, what’s your opinion on stubborn age spots, do you think this product will help get rid of them, my age spots have faded considerably just with my skincare and red led mask but not completely gone, this product would be great if I thought it could remove or fade down my age spots even more. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. I don’t often comment but this caught my eye and because I don’t live in the USA, there’s always a time difference and I don’t see what’s been posted for hours later…Best Wishes from Queensland Australia ❤️❤️…your skin is looking amazing, I was almost going to comment that in your last video…😍😍

I have mentioned before I have only just stumbled across you when you and Angie Hot and Flashy did a video together as I have been watching Angie for a few years now. You are now my other go to girl! My question is- I live on the Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia and growing up on the beach has resulted in freckles. Are these what you refer to when talking about "hyper pigmentation" and or "dark spots" please? Again, thank you so much for your amazing knowledge, and for being such a beautiful person, inside and out.

Well, technically no. Freckles are the result of sun exposure but they aren’t the type of pigmentation that we typically try to “remove”. Hyperpigmentation as sun damage often looks like patches and is irregular. Great video, Penny! Question: i often experience night sweats (I'm of that age!), so in the morning, my face usually feels kinda gross with a layer of sheen on top of the skincare from the night before. Usually, i just use a micellar water and im good to go. Would just a micellar wipe down cause irritation the same way a full face washing would? If so, would you still apply first thing over that sweat/skincare residue? I'd like to incorporate this into my routine and the morning would be the best time for me. I would love to know your thoughts on this issue. I cant be the only one out here waking up with sweat residue. 😢 Thanks, Penny. Your videos are always so helpful!❤❤❤

I would apply to your overnight skin after blotting with a dry washcloth. The cysteamine is potent enough that your sweat/oil won’t inhibit the process. If you DO use micellar water you would want to wait (I tried that too instead of actual washing and I ended up irritated …..) ❤️

Some days I get up at 430 for work and don't want to have to wake up even earlier to do the AM, even though I want to, but maybe when I get to maintenence I can. I see cyspera came out with a 7% formula. Is that something that would be that more effective for the price? I really can't afford the 200 for it, but I want to get results. If the 2% isn't that much of a difference, I might try the urban one. Lastly, do you know why some of these are so much more expensive than the others?

I have olive skin with some hyperpigmentation and would love to find an effective/safe way to somehow even out my skin tone. I've tried quite a few products with barely noticeable to no change. I also tried a red light mask that made it worse as I noticed a few more brown spots showing up. I am on the East Coast and recently went to a local well-known derm who was not of much help. I left the office with a feeling that the main goal was to profit from suggesting a variety of expensive lasers while at the same time pointing out the possibility of an adverse reaction where the hyperpigmentation could get worse😳 - and then proceeding to assure me that if anything they would have formulations to try and treat it. I will try cystemine ( Thank you, Peggy!), and I'm also considering visiting Dr. Kappel as she seems to be so extremely knowledgeable and skilled. I'd love to hear your experience with Clear and Brilliant. Thank you again for sharing and best of luck with your journey towards a more even skin tone.💛

Wondering if you’re tried any of Dr. Idriss products? They are supposed to address brown spots. I was thinking of trying hers.

What are your thoughts on using it on a targetted area vs whole face to start?

You can definitely do that- especially if you have specific, easy to identify areas of concern! ❤️

Thanks for the video! Would this work as a spot treatment for “age spots” on my arms?
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE7 ай бұрын
Yes!! Just leave on a little longer than 20 when possible (obviously after you know it doesn’t irritate your skin) and expect results a little more slowly….body skin is slower in general (with all treatments) ❤️❤️

How might this compare with Thiamidol in Eucerin's serum? I've wanted to try one or the other.

If you slug at night, or use other very occlusive creams, is it still ok just to apply on top of it? Also, how much of a difference is usually seen? I can commit to this, just wondering if it’s worth it. Thanks!

I've seen Cyspera for yrs & my local clinic stocks this. Can this be applied on top of makeup? I'm might invest in it but evening after work would be ideal use for me on top of makeup.
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE7 ай бұрын
It needs to be used on clean dry skin, put on like a mask and then washed off after use.

Great video! It's been almost 10 weeks since I had Ellacor and I still have the marks! They are fading VERY slowly and my Dr. prescribed clobetasol propionate 0.05% for 7 days , I did clobetasol a month ago for 7 days but still can't see improvement. I am doing clobetasol again for 7 days (this will be the second time) Do you think Cysteamine will help better than clobetasol? Thanks BTY how long a bottle of Sente last?
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE7 ай бұрын
Ugh I’m so sorry you still have the marks! You could ask about oral tranexamic acid. It’s more for melasma but can help with redness and PIH. It’s worth a chat with your provider! If you have marks that look brown the cysteamine can help. If they are more red or even pink then I doubt it will help 😔 I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this!
@laly69807 ай бұрын
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE My marks are pink so I guess Sante won't help 😔 I will talk to my Dr. about oral tranexamic . I like the results of Ellacor with just one procedure but unfortunately it's taking too long to heal. Thank you for answering my questions ❤️

@PENNSMITHSKINCARE7 ай бұрын
What you saw is the potential results of this product. So if that doesn’t look good enough for you then it’s definitely something you probably shouldn’t try. For me, lightning hyperpigmentation without irritation is the goal. Improvement over perfection 😊

What about post inflammatory erythema? Now that I’m older, any time I get a pimple (regardless if I pick it or not), I always automatically get PIE and the red marks take foreverrrrr to go away (and I use tazorac, which doesn’t really help get rid of them any faster) but I don’t know if there’s any preventative measures to not get PIE with pimples in the first place
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE7 ай бұрын
So cysteamine doesn’t seem to help PIE. Have you tried Azelaic acid? It can be helpful with PIE and you can get it up to 15% OTC. ❤️
@christina_12347 ай бұрын
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE thank you so much! I’ll have to try that! Is there a specific brand you would recommend? Is this an ingredient that not only helps lighten them but helps prevent them from forming when I get a pimple too? It’s so frustrating that even if I get a pimple now in my 30s it’s a semi permanent mark-that never used to happen when I was younger 🥲

I’ve tried so many things to get rid of/lessen my melasma and hyperpigmentation, and nothing has really worked for me. I’ve tried both of these cystamine products, I’ve tried pico sure laser, bbl, ipl, etc. my melasma and hyperpigmentations might be lessened, but not that noticeably. I guess mine are just really really stubborn. 😩

I wouldn’t necessarily. It’s expensive and there are other easier, less expensive ways to be preventative (like a good vitamin C in the morning and a retinoid at night) ❤️❤️

@PENNSMITHSKINCARE7 ай бұрын
Some of the directions say to use on clean skin that has not been wet. It works best for me to use in the AM after I wake up because my skin is dry and I can wash it off after use and go about the rest of my AM routine.

Yes it will- but I would personally try to leave it on a little longer than 20 minutes (obviously also assessing irritation) and it may ultimately take longer. Body skin is slower in general (regardless of the treatment) 😊❤️
