Anyone else thiink that voice was Leila Gharani ... the excel woman? ha ha ... anyway, great tip on CTRL-SHIFT-J. Publicate might get me part way through my challenge. I have users that use a spreadsheet to send out offers on products. There are several line items and things like discounts, location, time of year affects the number. I want them to key in their data on the spreadsheet and then punch a "magic button" (power automate?) ... the idea would be that the spreadsheet calculations would be used in the one-off email messages. Key in your numbers, push a button, a really nice email message is created with the data and is ready to send. Now, is that so hard ... :)

First of all THANK YOU in advance for the tutorial, this is how we are doing it but for some people Outlook is not sending the images (like logo png and social media icons) all the code is HTML and using inline styling with encoded images as well (base64). Would you happen to know how to troubleshoot to find where is the mistake?
@Publicate-Email-Builder3 ай бұрын
Hey there :) Well, we can't help troubleshoot your code but let's just say you wouldn't have those issues if you were using Publicate 😉 It's very easy to recreate what you set up in code through the drag-and-drop editor. Ig you want to give it a go, you to start your free-14 day trial here: app.publicate.it/signup (no card details required) and chat with us if you have any questions 🙂 We also have a new 3 min demo you'll find here kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYqqn3-copKta6M . Hi, great video, however I cannot find Edit as HTML on a MAC. Do I need to turn on Dev Tools. I looked for it and still doesn't show. Any advise?
@Publicate-Email-Builder Жыл бұрын
Hi there, Outlook stopped providing the 'Edit as Html' option, however, you can follow the instructions from 1min 27 using keyboard shortcuts cmd+option+J if you use a Mac (or ctrl + shift + J if you use on PC). This works on Chrome so make sure to use the right browser. If you don't see the console as per the tutorial, you might want to check that the console didn't open in a new tab or window (it might do so depending on your browser settings). Additionally, if the shortcut doesn't seem to bring up anything, you need to check your keyboard settings especially if using a Bluetooth keyboard as the settings determine what the keys do. Alternatively, if you don't want to bother with these shortcuts and pasting HTML code, check out the Publicate method shown from 3 min39 in the video😉

@Publicate-Email-Builder3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your positive feedback. It depends on which method you use. You won't need to if you use Publicate but if you got your HTML code from a third party such as DesignModo, you might need to host images so if don't use Publicate and use another service, best to check with them :)

hello ! I converted a PDF to HTML and then added it to Outlook as you suggested. After that, the email body looked like the same PDF template. However, when I forwarded the email, the HTML display changed. What should I do?
@Publicate-Email-Builder Жыл бұрын
Hi there :) The best thing to do if you have any issue/question after using Publicate is to reach out via the in-app chat and to send us your email newsletter Share link (you'll get it from the 'Share' button). Different email providers can sometimes impact the HTML code and we have designed specific add-ins and extensions for Outlook that can help you with that.

Using chrome developer tools to change the html is great. Problem is when we send the email, and it gets all distorted. Didn't work after that gimmick. The second method of copy/paste html to the email worked fine (used copy the html from safari and paste to chrome outlook web). But then again I'm stuck with just sending a pretty email with no metrics, and now searching for some newsletter funcionality on Sharepoint, so I know what goes on such as how many open, how many delete, and so on. Thanks anyway it's a great video, but only to make an adversite of Publicate addon for Office 365. Thanks!

Hey there, Actually Outlook is well known for impacting code and creating discrepancies, not to mention, the Outlook Web version and the Desktop version don't always support the same features (for example the Dekstop version doesn't support round edges or background images) so it's unfortunately not surprising that you had that experience. Publicate offers solutions though: our Outlook integrations were created specifically to protect your newsletter code and make sure that Outlook doesn't impact it. If you'd like to give it a go and see the results for yourself, you're welcome to start a free 14-day trial from app.publicate.it/signup (no cc is required and you'll have access to your account immediately). Plus with Publicate you'll get analytics too: Opens, Clicks, Clicks per Open, Newsletters shares, Content share and more audience insights 🎉😊

Hi, my html design is animated. how can i make it work on outlook from web version to desktop version
@Publicate-Email-Builder8 ай бұрын
Hi Sarah, it sounds like your animation doesn't happen in the Outlook desktop app and it does in the Desktop app. This wouldn't be a surprise since the Outlook desktop app is a little bit outdated compared to its online version. There are many things the desktop doesn't support such as background images, and round edges on buttons and unless Outlook decides to change this, there's no much you can do but hope people look at your email from Outlook on the web and/or other email providers that are also online and support more options.

Hi there :) if you meant to use the first method pasting HTML code, there's no shortcut available with Firefox and the current outlook options it seems. However, you can definitely use the second method using Publicate and the 'Publish' button option as shown here kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGOlZY2Ao5mejbc (the example is with Yahoo but this will work anywhere) .

Hi Nicole, did you create a newsletter template without Publicate and would like to import it into Outlook via the Publicate Outlook add-in or extension? Both allow to import newsletters created in Publicate only so if you created your template somewhere else, you can use either use the 'Paste' code method shown at 00:49 onward. Or you're welcome to start your free 14-day trial to Publicate (app.publicate.it/signup) which should allow you to recreate your template within minutes and then you can use our extension and/or add in :)

@@nicolekinda5992 Great to hear you've joined the free Publicate trial, Nicole 🎉 You can download the newsletter HTML by clicking the 'Publish' button in the top right corner when your newsletter is opened (see the last option 'Download HTML' on that window). That being said, since you send via Outlook, it's probably much easier to use our dedicated integrations you can access from the sane 'Publish' button, then click the Outlook icon.
