How to embroider the forget-me-notes.

Materials:
- cotton or linen fabric medium density (200g/m2)
- 5 colours of cotton threads (for example DMC):
green, blue, light lilac, light blue, yellow
- needles number 5 (DMC, Milword)
- wooden hoops (for example, Nurge or DMC or Milword)
- scissors
Embroidery steps
1. The stalk is embroidered with stem stitch in 1 strand with green colour of DMC.
2. We embroider completely unopened buds (green) with straight stitches in 1
strand with green coloor of DMC.
Larger buds: the sepals are embroidered with straight stitches in 1 strand with green colour of DMC, the petals are embroidered with straight stitches in 2 strands with blue colour of DMC.
3. The small leaves are embroidered with straight stitches in 1 strand with green colour of DMC. larger leaves are embroidered with long and short stitches in 1 strand with green colour of DMC.
4. The petals are embroidered with satin stitch in 2 strands. We use blue, light lilac and light blue colours of DMC.
5. We embroider the core with a french knot in 1 strand, 3 wraps with yellow colour of DMC.

Can I ask what you use to transfer your design on the fabric? I'm new to embroidery, and so I tried using carbon paper, and then I used pencil to fill in the parts that didn't transfer. So perhaps there is an easier way? 🤔

Most often I use a light tablet (you can just use a window or a regular tablet) and a heat-erasable pen (Pilot Frixion pen). I place the sketch on the light tablet, put the fabric on top and redraw it with a pen. After finishing the embroidery, lines from the pen are removed with warm air (hair dryer or iron). You can also use sticky water-soluble stabiliser. First transfer the design onto water-soluble stabiliser, then stick it onto the fabric and remove with water after embroidery🫶
