How to enable LG Stock apps after changing resolution on your LG G3

wow that was helpful. im planning on buying a g3 but i heard its a bit laggy so i was planning to change the res to full hd, but i have to questions. 1)is there a way to keep the original short cuts size from the 2k resolution. i wanna downgrade to fhd but i dont want the short cuts to look huge :/ 2) does adaway work? xd does it remove all ads?

fndollars It's much better compared to original resolution. Even feels smoother and less lag. Less heat generated too. Win win win situation.

In the Resolution Changer app, just use 530dpi rather than 469 or 485dpi. You won't have to mess around with changing LG stock apps individually because they'll already be to scale.

which version of android was there before changing framework? Did this increase your battery life? reviewers claim even changing the screen relative size from quad to hd the processor still had to fill in all the lcd pixels so it did not make a big difference

Thanks for the video, I am having one issue though, all my apps seem to work but the lock-screen wallpaper is zoomed even when I specifically use 1080p wallpapers. Do you know of any solution to this ?

Hi Daniel -san , I'm also facing the same issue as you. But lockscreen wallpapers aren't really much of a concern to me so I just ignored it. I'll post a video update once I find a solution to that problem.

Yo man please reply. I did this had so many problems. Is there a way to fix the dock on the stock launcher I prefer it. Also my boot logo goes bezerk it goes all way to the bottom and lots of quirks here and there. Can you tell me exactly which app settings I would have to change to fix. thanks

I would recommend a different launcher such as Nova Launcher. The boot logo will be affected no matter how. If it's affecting you greatly then I would not recommend you to do the tweaks.

Don't forget to set systemUi And Android system with the same dpi !! else you'll get a bootloop ! it will able you to down lower than 530 dpi without bootloop, but for the stock app, you'll need to replace these by google app (available on the playstore).

why you need full hd, if you got qhd. Not enough battery, than buy some juice case or spare battery. For me lg g3 works 2 full days with auto brightness, wifi on, bluetoff off and mobile data off, every day of about 2 hours on screen usage. My samsung galaxy s5 with gaming lasts only about 2 hours. What else you expect???

Hi Mike Mueller , unfortunately I can only direct you to using other keyboards other than the stock LG keyboard. Swype works perfectly fine for me.

i changed my res down to 720p and the phone lasted me a 10 hour drive under constant usage from south carolina to new jersey. Couldn't have done that at 2k.
