How to enable Mavic 2 Pro Remote ID with DJI GO 4 - Is it Compliant with EU Drones Rules?

After updating the mavic 2 pro firmware AND the Go4 app the remote ID does work and the field about 10 characters changes to "identification" which is an optional field, and that is for something else other than remote id SN which is just automatically broadcasted. you must at least hover the drone to confirm broadcast with a drone scanning app. it will not broadcast just turned on and on the ground. finally, the drone's serial number becomes the remote ID. HOWEVER, there is a DJI prefix in front of the serial number and a zero added to the end. in the us, that's the SN I use to register with the FAA, and so on.

I was thinking the RID came with the new software update that you did - which I did - on my Mavic 2 Pro. This is not easy to understand at all.

did you update the GO app ? it might not give you the proper option for user ID on the older app , UUID has always been there even on older firmware that's why I ask if you had updated the flight app .

I woul assume it's updated but I need to look into this as it's the smartcontroller, but I will try it with the iphone as well and make sure that one is

on your smart remote on the 1st main screen click account then at the bottom choose check for update that will show or allow you to update the smart RC along with the dji go flight app. @@TECHDRONEMEDIA

Hello, can you find your drone on the Drone scanner App? I tested it to see if I can see the information. But I don't see my Mavic 2 in the scanner app

Here the STSs are only for certified drones so, Mavic 2 Pro is only usable for nature (150m away from people) :( I'm sure DJI is more concerned about selling drones than certifying old ones.

I guess we're Lucky at least we're getting the Air 2S C1 classified. No hope for the Mavic 2 series I fear... and even if they could, it would be C2.

@@pejeickx9562 It will not, judging by dji's own released information on their dji Europe Facebook account a few days before new year's. The Air 2S was listed as compliant from end of January (later postponed to early March). There was no mention of the Mavic Air 2.

Not true. I just completed installing my RID SN on my Mavic 2 Pro. It now meets current regulations. Most recent sofware update allows your mavis to log an RID SN in your FAA Drone Zone portal. It will then show up on your remote controller screen.

Isn't the remote ID broadcasting your full ID - including the 3 digits? Makes no sense to me if that is the case (I understand the reasoning for not making it available on KZbin) because, if some taking those last 3 numbers means you're in trouble is a really dumb solution

Still u're persisting of promoting something that's isn't enforceable by local Police authorities? Awright u're getting attention but downside is that u're stirring up unfounded fears of operating UAVs with good judgment. Why not learn about: - Risk assessment b4 flight - how to preplanning safety precautions like log capture of telemetry etc etc that they're doing w large manned aircrafts in order to assess what's up when sh*t hits the fan? Much more productive and useful IMO ❤️😂
