Having the same problem, when I disable the web dark mode the entire pages are normal again (mostly white). Only the top bar and menus are in dark mode. I guess it's just a experimental feature. Maybe in the future they will bring a cool night mode. I hope Facebook too.

Kiwi browser has a perfect dark mode. Its a chromium based browser. You can even install chrome extensions.

Ive tried it couple of days ago but instantly turned back off because with the black tabs when you are in multiple tabs window the page with black tabs has black fonts on it so you can't even read the heading of that particular tab so i would say it's not polished yet, if they add that feature later on then i would love to change it back to dark mode. (Btw i am currently using many of this features like url bar on the bottom side of the screen which is quite handy for one hand use)

Try downloading chrome beta app and make sure you have the lastest version SN: 74.0.3729.112, then do the chrome flags staff

NesG21 google search for Dark Facebook .apk. It's basically what the name says; not inverted colors, but literally the white accents become black. I've been using it. You would have to remove your original fb app first before downloading the dark fb app though

Ritte M. Oh, that's unfortunate then. If you're fine with unofficial Fb apps, Fella for Facebook allows customisation to the app background colors, and a ton others. It's ultimately built around the mobile fb version, thus a bit wonky for some people. But it works.

Fixed it. You need to force stop and then make sure you are enabling both extensions. So search dark and it will bring up two for you to enable, once you do that it works

A way to get things mostly working, do everything in the video, then after you disable Web Contents Dark Mode and it still gives you dark mode without inversion. The one downside is text in the tab selection area is non readable.

Just got a Huawei P30 pro and when I try this nothing comes up for Android web...I have the dark ui enabled in the battery saving tab of the settings menus but does not carry over to chrome......very annoying that the pop up key board doesn't switch to dark either.
