Okay, this is gorgeous, but there are some safety problems here. Always wear safety glasses, and yeah, a mask, but, you need to dampen that glass you are working on to a) keep the glass cool and prevent cracking and b) to keep the glass dust particles out of the air. It is incredibly dangerous to breath any glass dust, I highly recommend watching some glass safety videos.

Dry erase marker , what a great idea to get the pattern on.

This is very creative, I wonder how this would turn out if you were to: Remove the paper and stuff to get to the glass 1. engrave the backside of the mirror 2. box frame the back 3. line the back with LED light strips 4. flip it over and see the color changing lights shine through the mirror

it actually turns out amazing. i saw somebody do this on a dremel art group on facebook a while back and decided to do a picture of my grandpa and his dog with his last name and my brother made a wood box with an led strip inside and put backing on it. turned out way better than i expected.

Love it! The finished result is great Came from the weird art group I was watching this as a tattooist and thought it was a bit like tattooing, then when you said it 🤣

Did you have to prep the mirror with anything first? And did you have to seal it after?

What nib did you use? I’ve been engraving metal and I tend to lean to the pointier nibs but I didn’t know if it would crack the glass, if that makes sense lmao

Great job, but I have my questions on that, how you draw the flowers? Do you use carbon paper?

That is absolutely gorgeous. Great job. Question...how did you get the background color on it ?? It just kind of "appeared" on there at the end of the video :) Wait...or is that just a reflection of a backdrop behind you ?
@BrokeGirlsArtSchool Жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a reflection! I hung a sheet so it was easier to see the design haha

Is that a diamond tip that you started with or can you use any ordinary tip?

It was a round tip!

@@BrokeGirlsArtSchool Hi, thanks for answering. There are some tips that are diamond covered. They are specifically for hard objects and I was wondering if it was the diamond covered ball tip or the ordinary ball tip you were using.

Why don't people do this on the backside and not the front. That way you can etch and paint it and unlike the fro t it doesn't hurt anything when you clean it. Cleaning etch stuff on the from of a mirror is troublesome. Do it on the back and you never have to clean it cause it's on the back. Try.it one time. You'll love it. I do all my mirrors on the back. Just dremel off the paint on the back. Then you have.clean glass. Then etch with cream then leave it like it is or paint it. Then the from remains smooth cause you did nothing on the front. Try it.please
@little_ghosty18547 ай бұрын
How do you take the mirror glass out to do that? And what do you mean the etching stuff? I didn't know you could paint it.

You should be wearing safety glasses as well. You don't want those little shards of glass in your eyes either. Your video is awesome but as a dad of 3 girls and having done glass etching I'm totally freaking at you not wearing safety glasses. (said with love) :)
