Yeah there's definitely different factors to why ones experience is different than others for sure. Like im on console for fs22 and its not the same on console as it is on pc for one especially with pc having the better mods like the FDR mods and the joysticks are a factor , as well as experience. I also agree with trying different styles and figuring out what works for you which I'm doing now. Like my logging style now is different than from a few minths ago . I personally like switching it up anyway and keeping things fresh. Good video man 🤟🏼

There are joysticks for all consoles. And even though each has their own they like. It helps to have the right controller for the right JOB, no mater what you’re working with. There is a reason most equipment now comes with one. It’s the benefit and ease of use….i have every console known to man. Even Atari still. Yet, I always use my PC way more. I can get hand controller just like Xbox and PlayStation for the PC. So besides a collection hobby of mine. Pc is the best investment for the long run. That’s how consoles stay alive by sales from the next upgrade. I have had the same pc for decades now and it’s still up to date cause I bought the greatest at the time. 32cores and 64 gbs of ram will be enough to play anything. Now I’ve had to change the video card a few times. Yet, everything else from power supply on up is the same pc from day one. I took a side job just So I could afford it …. 6months later I had a bad azz pc…. Now I’m retired I’m thinking of getting me my LAST PC! I’m goin To go for the 64 cores next….. If I do Daul gpu’s i will never have to buy them again.

I'm setup in a sim rig so I don't have the option for a duel joystick configuration mount but I am using a single joystick "Thrustmaster 1600", making it work to it's best. I do however have a mounted shifter, a custom built button box and a 32 button stream deck, using the TS-PC Racer steering wheel with Thrustmaster paddles.

I play ps5 fs and usually use the impex t50 and lay the trees in a row and then use the Rottne H21d for cutting logs to size. Make a good pile that will fill the hilift grapple, and then I use the Volvo L200H high lift to load. This is probably the easiest way to log on fs with controller.

Learning a forwarder is usually the fastest and cutting to extra long lengths that is the max the forwarder can handle and then load logs right from that on to a truck and using a harvester to cut to length.

Yeah I second that. I play on console for now, but have ran machines for years irl so I definitely picked it up fairly quick. I’m dying to get a pc/dual stick nd pedals set up. With all the real pc mods too. Jeeeez haha keep killin it sir! And yes FDR is a great guy

On console I have not been able to make the buncher work very good. So I have 2 ec2500 with harvesters and pretty much use one as a buncher. Then the John deere clambunk skidder to pull to my processing/loading area.

Steam states I've got some 3,000 hour's of playing FS22. And I'll state, all of it is envolved in one form or another "TIMBER". I cut, process, stack, and chip all day, every day. I'm forced to utilize various non-giant map's. And after trying dozen's and dozen's, have settled on only two. At some point, I've tried for numeriuos hour's every tree harvestor with the combo harvestor/processor and though my heart belong's to the Volvo 380. I'm forced by the way the track's keep getting stuck to utilize a ponnse, one of which has 8 wheel's. But then when one is more than 75 year's old, and has been retired for 13 of the past year's. I've got all day, every day, to do pretty much nothing else but play video game's. I have chooen to play as realisticly as the various mod's and the variouis alogorithium's will allow. Though I'm on a pc, I utilize an xbox one controller. And where I was originally envious of those who utilzed twin joy stick's. Now use the game pad, to the same degree they utilize their stick's. The only issue I have with FS22 is also the same issue I have with any and all other video game's. There are real physic's and there are game physic's. Once one learn's to adapt and utilize game physic's. Any game become's considerably more fun to play. We elderly, most of which would be retired, have more time then we know what to do with, and if one doesn't keep their mind busy doing something other than sitting in a chair with the TV remote. Seem to die considerably faster than those that keep their mind active, which playing sandbox or open world video games allow one to do. The hobby is the cheapest hobby one can get envolved in. Sure the first time expense of a device such as pc or console is a bit to handle. I've spent ten time's as much on a set of golf club's, which are still bsicallly new in the closet, when the other cost of using them at the only place in the world one can referred to as golf course's. Mean's getting to one, and paying extremely high green fee's. To any and all, male or female who are retired. Want to keep your mind active, get into video game playing. A tripple "A" game can cost some 60 dollar's, but when you figure out the expense over thousand's of hour's, it works out to be only a penny or two per hour. If you choose Farm Simulator, any machine with track's vs wheel's will drive you insane. Sorry, but that's game physics and not real physic's. The only part of game physic's I've not been able to adapt to.

Very interesting! I’ve ran real equipment so I prefer the dual joysticks I use an Xbox controller for driving but I simulate real life controls. The main problem I have is that the game doesn’t allow you to save control profiles to be able to easily switch or have separate controls for each machine if I get time I may add that functionality to the machines I use with a custom control system. I bet this game would be very useful for being retired it’s definitely important to keep that mind busy and feel a purpose. I could never understand why most of the elderly chooses to not learn this stuff because it can benefit them tremendously especially when they find out they may enjoy it. It’s quite unfortunate really.

Well before you try to brag on yourself. You need to learn how to log neatly. I’m an a logger in real life for 35 years. I also play with the logging on fs22. One you need to put the trees in a pile. Stop scattering them. You’re wasting time with the skidder. Two. Stop trying to brag on yourself. Especially when you’re not all that!

I’ve logged in real life too, calm down… 😂. As for logs going everywhere real machines don’t deal with toy joysticks with stick drift, it’s time to buy some new ones because 3,000 hours in game logging hasn’t treated em well especially since their used. As for the neat pile - stick drift is a very real thing and it flicks my piles everywhere one slight movement one way and it flicks them the other way. It’s not something I can fix even after making the dead zones massive. Gotta buy new ones. I am all that in game 😂 irl so so

I did all of that with a job while running a KZbin channel getting 6 hours of sleep a day for 2 years. Anyone can do what I did you just have to dedicate time if you don’t have a channel then you don’t have to spend the time editing every night. There’s no excuses to suck at something. I think it would only be true if a person has a wife and kids but you shouldn’t have time for hardly any farm sim if that was the case.

@@WikkyPlays I really like this answer! I have a wife and a 15 month old daughter. I started fs22 a few months ago and have probably 200 hours in the game now. Most of my time playing is spent at night after my wife and baby are asleep. I still find time to enjoy the games I love it’s just not as often as I used too.
