If u click reboot system then should start the phone normally. And if not then there is any problem. Try factory reset.

Yes factory reset will erase everything from phones internal storage excluding external memory card. U have to copy every necessary files to sd card/pen drive, pc etc before doing factory reset. And have to redownload & configure the apps after resetting.

First u have to come out from download mode. Then Press & hold (volume up, power & physical home button if have any) altogether for 5-10 seconds to boot into recovery mode. Then follow the on screen instruction.

Booted now? After doing a hard reset takes longer time to boot up than usal. Takes 10-20 minutes depending on the phone.

For anyone experiencing this error, in my case it was resolved as follows 1- I installed adb 1.4.3 2- I installed it and all the drivers it requested 3- I installed the stock rom (it gave an error) then I clicked on factory data reset 4- reset and it worked NOTE: even if I clicked on factory data reset it still returned to the same screen!
