hello thank you for the video, if canada already found me inadmissible on the following grounds.. "You are found inadmissible to Canada under paragraph 36(2)(b) of the IRPA" but in march 1st 2020 is gonna be 10 years since the offense was committed, can I apply for an eTA without applying for rehab??

30 years ago, I was charged with breach of the peace (UK), plead guilty, and fined £500. Since then haven't been in trouble, and now a upstanding person, and been in full time employment for 20 years I'm aiming to go to the USA around the end of 2025, now I dont see myself as being a risk, but rather, will to spend my heard earned cash, in the USA. I think by refusing my visa, and not allowed to travel, surely this harms business in USA

V informative video. My US visa was refused 3 times on Pakistani Passport at London Embassy and 1 time on British Passport at London Embassy. When I apply ESTA it advises me that you are not authorised and apply for B1/B2 Visa at Embassy. I had one Simple Caution in 2005 Common assault and one simple caution in 2010 for obtaining driving licence with intent using someone else identity card. I do not have any conviction. I have only two cautions which were showing until 2018 on my Disclosure and Barring Service but it is no more showing on my ACRO police certificate. its says NO LIVE TRACE. Kindly advise what should I do. Can I apply for Visa Waiver or any other option. My sister is US Citizen and living in USA since 2001. Please advise.

Ms. Ackah: The now, "near-complete," sharing of criminal records within the past couple of years has led to a precipitous increase in the number of people stopped and turned back at the Canadian border. Perhaps the most troublesome among those denied entry are those with extremely distant events, who over the period of years have proven to be safe, and not a danger to the general public, who have never before had difficulty coming and going, and may have built businesses in Canada, or perhaps may even live in Canada with their families! Such an absolute policy of denial will destroy possibly entire families if suddenly a parent can no longer come home. Does Canada really want to paint with such a wide brush in knee-jerk reflex fashion, the solution of initially denying admission for nearly ANY legal event that occurred at nearly any time in history?! It seems that this could literally effect the economy of the entire country, not to mention the total destruction of lives, such an unreasonable policy could cause. Do you ever see Canada relaxing on any of the current, seemingly over-the-top, "shoot first, and ask questions later" style of immediate initial denial of nearly any and all, legal history?

What about convictions decades ago? A friend had a cocaine conviction. This was over 15 years ago. He has been rehabilitated.
