Sometimes it won’t work because they might pull you back to make you lose balance. This will make you stop because you will fall if you don’t grab onto your opponent arm. When the choker walks back your body will lean back and you can’t do anything because your arm can’t reach any where behind you. So watch out .

1:25 that's what happens when you do it improperly. He just left his arm there like a noodle. My grappling coach always said tuck the limbs and close the spaces then pressure. Hand goes behind the head. And your head presses even more on the back of theirs. (I can go into the physics of it and both force vector components and torque if you want.)

I always find this kind of videos very helpful because these (rear choke, side choke, arm-twists etc) are the moves people pull out at you when you get in a brawl/scuffle. With enough practice of these simple yet effective techniques one can get out of those locks. However, one thing I am curious about is what should one do if someone goes after your nuts. Is there a video where Master Wong shows how to deal with someone who is attacking your nuts?
