As someone who is above level 200 in ftf and played this map many times (not as much as Die but still lol) I find it helpful to hide in the vents closest to the pc (works for both of the rooms) and just be ready for the beast to enter. A lot of times I just crouch and be ready for the beast to check the room and juke the beast to escape because you are prepared the bears will look in there.
