How to exit a parking spot, driving tutorial for beginners.
Hello everyone!!!, Welcome once again to another driving tutorial and we are very excited to share this valuable information to make you a better driver. Today we will be focusing on how to exit a parking spot. I’ve been getting requests on making a video about this once again and explaining it a bit more in detail because is a huge concern when it comes to taking the driver examination.
In many occasions when we are trying to get out of a driving spot, whether is throughout the driving examination when we are trying to get our license or when we are already out driving with our own car and we find ourselves in a situation where we are trying to get out of a parking space and theres many vehicles around and behind us.. there’s certain tips that you can follow to make this experience easier and avoid having a hard time.

I don’t think we need to reverse the car out of the spot completely before we turn the wheels. This will take the car too far, probably to the other cars on the other side. So, the correct turning point should begin once your car’s side mirror faces the parked car’s bumper. This way, your will not go the other side (in case the parking lot is tight) and it will also be away from touching any of parked cars.

So true. Not many have such a big ass space behind their car. It’s always narrow. You have to start turning little right away.

THE MAN WHO IS SHOWING ME TOLD ME THAT: " if I want to make left turn , I must turn my front wheels in opposite direction ( TURN FRONT WEELS TO THE Right SO THE BACK OF THE CAR WILL TURN ON RIGHT ) But if I'll have to make( Right Turn ) I should turn Front Wheels To Left so the back of the car will be to the Right . AS IM LOOKING AT THIS VIDEO I SEE IS VERY EASY AND COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I'VE BEEN TAUGHT ...

This video is very informative....My next question is how does one know what part of the parking lot one can enter in and which part can we exit from..I understand that sometimes that are signs to guide us or arrows on the ground pointing us to the direction of traffic...However i have seen parking lots that dont have signs or directional arrows to guide us..In that case, how does one know the correct entrances and exits of parking lots?

With time comes experience. You can practice reversing in an empty parking lot around cardboard boxes or something that will not damage your vehicle. Everyone who is driving had to learn and knew nothing at one point, you will figure it out! My personal suggestion is to always back into a spot. Sometimes this can be difficult if someone impatient is behind you, but it's far easier and safer to leave the spot later.

I have a question, Today I was parked but I was parked facing forward, which means I didn’t have to drive backwards so I proceeded to turn right to drive. Then there was a person coming from out of nowhere from right side with speed. Mind you, this guy isn’t even following the eight protocols of driving around the parking spaces then I hit the break as soon he came near me but still had the audacity to stop for a little and give me a look like It wasn’t him at fault? These reckless drivers are something else I tell ya. They think they freaking own the damn road and don’t need to follow the rules. I was feeling like there was something wrong with me but I was already turning right and he was driving and coming towards my side out of nowhere.

I wish driving videos wouldn’t choose an area where there’s obviously no curb behind or cars behind or limited space behind. When I was faced with a backing out situation, my car was between 2 vehicles and there was a curb behind me, so it gave me no room to back out like that lady showed in this video. For me, I had to start turning my wheel while actually backing out otherwise, i’d hit the curb.

90%-95%. You feel it stop, back it off slightly then continue backing up. You never want to bottom out the steering pump. When a car is fully turned in one direction, it creates a lot of pressure inside the pump & lines. Driving wise on paper you want to turn as much as possible. In reality, you will stress parts on your vehicle by forcing it to turn all the way and be wondering why your steering pump failed early in its life. Don't listen to everyone. Not everyone is thinking what is best for you & your car, just what is best in a general setting.

This is a instructional video of a good way to wreck your car. The driving examples given are poor at best. Even considering this is for beginners, this teaches you to give too much room and not making maneuvers early enough to not to expose your vehicle into multiple lanes of a parking lots travel. This exposes your vehicle much more then required. 2 out of 10 in safety

Is there a video that shows how to get out of a parking spot, into traffic?
@GiGi_1527
@GiGi_1527 3 жыл бұрын
Yesterday, I was on the right side of the road, between a parked car and a outside make shift column (alot of these are here in NY, especially from restuarants being closed. It is like a make shift outdoor area.). My instructor told me pull out from the parked spot. I recall putting my indicator on first (to let on coming traffic know I will be merging into traffic etc.), while having my foot on the brake, I then placed the vehicle in reverse; then release my foot slowly from the brake to reverse out (for me to have enough space between the make shift column to merge into traffic), I believe my steering wheel was turned to the left - though I need to be sure, my instructor has a habit of grabbing my steering wheel when I am messing up. 🤦🏾‍♀️(because I was merging into traffic from my left side). And I need to be on the right side of the road. So, your video is saying to not accelerate until I my vehicle is where I need it to go, correct? I am looking for clarification on doing this correctly. Thanks!
