One fundamental is if a stock is moving too high, then def anyhow it will follow the baseline curve again. For exiting, you have to see another indicator to see momentum etc using RSI but you want to exit the stock anyhow and don't want to invest further may be because of cash need etc. Then find the sweet RSI up day and then only exit. And yes don't forget the moving averages EMA, 50 100 150 200.

There is no such thing. It is always known only in retrospect, after knowing how 'the future' actually played out. This is highly true for long term. For medium & short-term, you CAN decide on a target exit point, based on technical patterns/indicators etc, but again that is an arbitrary point specific to YOU, your capital size, your financial backups for life, your levels of risk you are ready to tolerate, your timeframe you are ready to be patient upto etc. That target exit point may not always be "arbitrary specific to you", there are many times when many companies show clear medium-term patterns, in which group-think or herd-mentality does work, you can jump onto the moving train along with others (following the trend), and you will see that as expected from the technical pattern, a lot of passengers do exit at that station marked on the technical map/chart. This does not state that, that is the end point, there are more stations ahead in the long term journey, but you may not want to go there, because unlike train journey, here nobody knows what the next stations are, some could be leading to hell. So you decide exit at that 'arbitrary' technical target that you decided, delete your further risk/uncertainty, and move onto another stock/index that shows a low-risk relatively-predictable short/medium journey. In this attempt to catch a short/medium trend/pattern, if the full journey is 100% returns, you can never grab the entirety, you usually wait for signals & confirmations before onboarding & before exiting as well, so for a normal retail investor, if you can catch 50% of the 100% returns (example) that is enough. You will improve this with knowledge, experience & practice. In the end, a lot of this is "risk-management" (avoiding/reducing your losses) as much as "increasing the returns" (which usually comes paired with higher risk). If you keep checking past-exits, after a gap, there is a high chance of regrets (stock performed too good after your exit). This is what you have signed up for, with swing trading. If you don't like this, you should be a long term investor. Both have pros & cons. Both have challenges. Both have different research techniques to use. If any of this was easy, everybody would have stopped jobs to do only this. If you keep checking past-exits, after a gap, you may also see a lot that have gone down a lot. But by usual human psychology, you will regret a lot more for the lost rallies, than be happy for the risks and losses escaped due to exit (well-researched or random/arbitrary). This is why this journey is a lot about emotions, the war of greed vs fear. Which is why technical analysis for entry & exit, is a good way to stay objective, rational, mathematical & sane here, and still make money without losing a lot. If you can make decent money in 7 of 10 swing trades, that IS success. Nobody can have 100% success rate. Again this rate will improve with knowledge, experience & practice.
