How To Expand Storage On Sony Google TV

Thank you so much for this video. My TV was poped out a message said not enough internal storage and need to be clean some data. With your video, now I can expand the storage by plug in an external USB drive without further worry of run out of the space.

Hi I have just installed a verbatim mini usb 2,0 as per your video and when I go to move the data across it tells I can,t do it because It is a verbatim usb drive can you help thank you Garry F

I connected a flash drive to my Sony Android TV. My problem is I use a streaming app called Tivimate. When I open the app and go into recordings, I see the flash drive. I keep getting this error( Fail to change recording folder) when I try to select a folder to save my recordings. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. #AndroidTV #Tivimate #Streaming #Help

Can we install apps directly on to the usb drive instead of sony internal memory? I am trying to install a game and it shows not enough space on the tv. Please suggest.

Still I can't download some games from play store like asphalt 8 or 9. Even after downloading its shows low device storage. Can you fix it via software updates?

after doing this, when you reboot the TV it seems as though it tries to start from the usb drive and it keeps rebooting until i remove the usb drive, I have a XRA80J (2021) oled model, any suggestions?

Pen drive format done but still when i am trying to download asphalt 9, its showing only internal storage Pendrive is not becoming as a part of storage

Yeah....would work great if half the apps actually allowed you to move to another storage but they don't. I love Sony TVs but the storage space is ridiculously low especially when half the storage is taken up by system memory and apps.

How about reducing the pre-installed apps that are useless for 99% users and bring us just 1 useful utility like 1-click clean up?

The truth is: Sony smart TV are equipped with less DRAM and ROMs than other brands in the market and need more care to be taken by the users. So, please learn well the method how to expand and free the memory of the Sony smart TV you have bought！　ＰＬＵＳ：i hate the 2GB DRAM of my $3,000 Sony 65" 90F bravia !
