When looking at ppg in the first section, I think it helps to normalize it a bit. The scoring format is like a rising tide that lifts all boats, and the 20+ ppg in a PPR format is a lower percentage of total points than that in a 0.5 ppr or other format. Take the team totals as a baseline. Say in PPR we probably need to average ~120 each week with our team to win, whereas in 0 ppr say it’s more like ~100. So the 20 ppg player makes up 1/6 of the team total in full ppr, but 1/5 in 0 ppr. So if we want to anchor our threshold at 20 ppg in a full ppr format, the comparable threshold in 0 ppr is ~16.7. Using that limit will create more comparable positional ranks

I think the data states that as a half point player you should be prioritizing the elite RBs early in drafts. That's basically it. QB is the same for each format and the depth of the position is just as strong as its ever been. So if you're playing in a half point league you should be looking for something like double or triple (if possible) Elite RB start followed by pounding WRs mid rounds when guys like DK/Waddle/Evans are still on the board and then come back around and take the rushing QB upside guys later.

Fantastic video, extremely helpful information. I got mark andrews as a 4th round keeper in a 2 rb 2wr 1 flex hppr league. Targeting lamar early on for sure. Wise to target zay flowers as well or too much dependence on the ravens?

Great video.. My main $1600 home league is a Keeper League 10 team, Start 8 with 16 roster spots and I’ve won 3 straight years.. Last year got Kyren on waivers so I’m keeping him for a 9th this year and targeting Jonathan Brooks.. 6 of 10 make the Playoffs.. Imalways go for upside cause I know I’m gonna make the Playoffs but I do also try to get Top 2 for the BYE.. Breece in the 4th last year is a perfect example of my upside swings.. I also took Josh Allen at the end of Round 2 for a difference make at QB and that worked well until have to be right about QB if u go with one early.. I haven’t decide my other 2 keepers yet between London for a 4th, Waddle for a 7th, Tank for a 9th and A Rich for an 11th.. You get 3 keepers so around 25-30 will be kept.. It’s a lot to go through but I love to prep for the Season and that’s probably why I’ve won 3 straight years 😂.. Thanks again for the videos bro.. They confirm my thinking a lot of the time haha

Phenomenal effort Mason, thank you! In a non PPR league, very basic cause we started the league when we were kids in 1996 ... This data is extremely helpful, all in on Jacobs (again) this season, also really high on Mosert. Shocked he's going so low.

This is so much to comprehend hahaha. So, I've got a 12 team half PPR, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex draft coming up. Some of the factors from the first 2 bullets seem to counteract each other, so what would be your general advice? Draft best flex play mostly? Try to hit it off with QB and fade TE?

I have a league where it’s a point per every 10 passing yards for QB instead of a point per every 25 passing yards. Always important to adjust expert rankings based on your personal league scoring

This is actually very good Intel. About to draft in a 14 man non-PPR that has no tight end position and we start three wide receivers two running backs no flex. Very hard to find advice for this setup.

Based off your data on a PPR league, wouldn’t it be better to take elite RBs early since there are less available players who produce 20+ ppg? Wouldn’t yiu technically have a higher chance of finding a WR in the later rounds who would give 20+ ppg?

Id go Lamb. There's always the wear and tear risk with CMC. If I knew the workload wasn't going to matter with CMC, I'd take him all day. But Lamb has huge upside with less risk.

Idgi if I’m in a PPR league wouldn’t I wanna go after RBs early since there is much more depth at WR later rounds? Only so many RBs that perform well PPR while I can grab a guy last year like Michael pitman or dj moore later rounds..

Anything lower than a top 3 pick for Ceedee is a bit of an overreaction. The CMC injury shouldn't be too much of an issue, it's no different than any other injury concern he's had over the years. My top 3 picks in the draft are not changing being Ceedee, CMC, and Tyreek in that order

Super flex 12 man Keeper league at the 1.04. keeping breece 5th Kyler 13th. Do I take deebo MHJ or Pacheco 2nd round assuming I get tyreek in the first? I feel like I can get a good quarterback on the turn because the 1.01 and 1.03 both have 2 qbs already, so I am just not sure who to take at my second spot

Playoffs in fantasy FB are stupid. We do it for $ only, our champ is based on the whole season. It changes EVERYTHING when you are basically drafting for match ups in the playoff weeks. Stats tell us the larger the sample size the more accurate the stats are. I just don't get why anyone does playoffs to determine their league champion, it makes ZERO sense.

Well there’s a couple things I respond to that with. 1) The small amounts of variance at the end of the season can be crushing but it’s also what gives the thrill of the playoff do or die scenario. Just like the real nfl. The Cowboys scored more points than every other team, but they got eliminated in round 1 last year. Tough. I’d hate to be in the back of the pack halfway through the season and know that I’m doomed with no shot at all. 2) Your season setup may have its pros through better teams generally preform better for prizing, but that league setup almost completely invalidates the draft value of a lot of players (rookies/IR late bloomers)

No. You're trading elite level prospect with guaranteed role and target share and solid tight end with defined role for a rb that isnt even a lock to be rb 2 on his own depth chart and bowers who at best is second option on his team and a first round lottery ticket. Bad deal.
