I was referring to closed WP when I made this video. You should ask your employer, usually the employer applies for LMIA except.

No hard limit. I stayed 3 years with a closed Work permit, and then got PR, but in principle, I could have stayed "n" number of years with a work permit.

In simple words, LMIA means closed work permit. The LMIA exempt number should be there in your employment offer letter. It has to do with your employer.

If you have a job offer, yes you can extend. Most people apply for PR after PGWP, since you get additional points because of your Canadian work experience.

If you are renewing your work permit, they you will not get any visa stamp. You will only get your work permit delivered to your address. For visa stamp you need to apply separately for temporary resident visa.
