To those who doesnt see recovery HD, when its time to shut down your mac, and you turn it back on, its NOT ONLY Command and power button. Its Command+ R button+ power button. Once it makes a noise or you see the white screen when it turns on, let go of the power button but KEEP ON HOLDING the command+ r. You have to wait for the apple logo to load before you let go of it. You only let go of Command+R when the recovery loads. Then you can follow the steps.
