Life saver dude. I let folks in the house borrow it because I was not using until I replaced my phone. Got new phone but it wouldn't pair for 2 weeks. Was about to give it away because no one in the house would admit they had a device that was still paired to it. And I couldn't figure out what device was preventing me from pairing my new phone. Did a reset, now it works. Thanks!

I've had connectivity issues with my JBL speaker for a couple weeks now. I'd turn it off and on several times, trying to connect it to my MacBook, but it was always the same issue: It'd make the sound that it successfully connected and the bluetooth preferences would confirm that, but the sound would stay playing from my laptop. I was sad thinking I'd need to replace the speaker after only 6 months of use, but resetting it worked perfectly. Thanks for the clear and concise video Max! :)

@@austingoldstrom426 This is a really old comment, and you may have fixed the problem or don't care anymore, but I thought I'd respond anyway. If the issue that you are having is that others are (or might be) connecting to your device without permission, the only way that I know to stop them from doing that is to change your settings on your "local network" or "shared network", for example, in the settings of a laptop computer. You have to make sure that other people don't have access to your _WiFi network connection_ or access your _connected devices_ on your network. If it is a shared network that you can't kick others off of, I don't know how you can stop them from doing it though. Maybe this will help you? I'm no expert, but I had to reset and configure those settings to a private network on my laptop to stop "highjackers". ~Peace!

Hello Max, thanks for your video. Do you know why my JBL flip 4 connects to the Bluetooth correctly but when I press play it doesn't sound? It seems it's correctly connected and the music plays on my phone but the speakers doesn't make a sound :(

Have you got multiple devices conneced to it? If so, that can be a problem. If you're truly hearing sound through your speakers, you may need to change the output in the app you're playing the audio through. For example, on an iPhone in the Music app, there's a triangle icon with sound waves coming out of it below the volume slider on the screen that comes up when you play a song. You can tap that icon, and it will bring up a window that will let you choose to play your audio through the phone or other connected devices. I hope that helps.

After reset, you would not be able to reconnect with the speaker. What you need to do is, remove the speaker name in your device that was previously connected with, then search in your bluetooth list while your JBL is in a searching mode. When found, connect it. Voila!
