1. turn off your switch 2. hold power, volume + and volume - buttons for several seconds. 3. wait for 2 logo start ups 4. there's the settings. choose wisely.

Nintendo kept turning off after it was on the reset screen. So I did the process again, and this time when the reset screen popped up, I held the volume button for a moment and it stayed on the screen after I released the volume button. It worked!

i wanna tell u first hold - and + (volume buttons not joycon buttons) while the system is off then tap POWER and keep holding the volume buttons until Recovery Mode screen shows up. you held all the buttons at the same time and Maintenance Mode screen showed up. well, all the options are the same.

I have a question: I had just transferred my save data to another Switch, & was going to sell my other Switch after putting it on its factory settings. If I do this, will it affect the game data on my other Switch? I ask this because my 2nd Switch has this pop up which says "Checking for permission to play this game" or something like that. @@jaye9687 I put my old Switch on factory settings and sold it to GameStop. I still get a message talking about backed up Save data, but other than that - and so long as your data is backed up in the cloud - everything is okay.
