Hey thanks bro, this is by far the most informative video I've seen on how to fakie, I haven't had a bike for about 15 years just getting back into bmx, I'm going out to practice this stuff right now! Thanks again!

Hey I've got going backwards down, I can even roll backwards and turn my bars enough that I've turned completely around, I'm just having a hard time popping out of it with a bunny hop or lifting my front tire. Any tips or ideas that could help me figure out the end of this maneuver?

I just got a bmx after five years. And I got bodied every time I tried faikies again. Because I haven’t ever ran a freecoaster till now. So good to actually know why it was still making me pedal backwards 😂

@steve00alt704 жыл бұрын
can you pedal backwards with a free coaster?
@Unbelievable474 жыл бұрын
@@steve00alt70 Yeah to disengage the hub & do crankflips which I cant do yet. But to just back pedal like a cassette for fakies that kinda defeats the purpose of a free coaster.

I've always ridden cassette but now I'm on a freecoaster and considering I've rode cassette for so long I still have to pedal backwards on my freecoaster to keep balance, I wanna get over not having to pedal backwards on my freecoaster so plz help give tips.
@AirdBMX6 жыл бұрын
Hey man! I went through the same thing for a little while too when I switched over. The quickest way for you to get used to it is just to make yourself not backpedal all at once. Yeah it might take a little to get used to the balance but if you stop backpedaling, faking on a free coaster will feel more natural everyday
@minhopark73347 жыл бұрын
Any tips for balancing? I have soooo much trouble with balancing and I've been going at it for over a year.

+Minho Park make sure you weight is back. Most of it is just trial and error and getting a feel for it

@Vanssk8dude7 жыл бұрын
can there be any slight pedal pressure at all?
@AirdBMX7 жыл бұрын
there can be, you just have to make sure that you don't pedal to far forward which engages the hub
@Vanssk8dude7 жыл бұрын
Aird Bmx so as far as the turn out part it's ok?always have rode cassettes so this switch is definitely different lol. but if there could be slight pressure on the turn out it would probably make it a little easier I've just heard it can tear up the internals of the hub.
@AirdBMX7 жыл бұрын
+Morgan Keller oh yeah, it isn't the best on the hub internals. It would definetly be best to learn how to turn out of it with out the pedal pressure

@AirdBMX5 жыл бұрын
You need to have slack in it, so you need to pedal about a quarter crank past where you set your feet before you do a 180 and ride fakie
@incredible5587 Жыл бұрын
so i bought a bike with a freecaoster and having a hard time finding a vid that tells me how much slack is normal, i need to peddle 1/3 of a turn with the freecaoster i have on my kink. to me it dont seem normal. looks like yours was like lot less than that.

Why my pedals are going backwards when my bike does? How can i fix it
@AirdBMX7 жыл бұрын
if your pedals are going backwards that means you have a cassette hub. If you dont want that to happen you are going to have to buy a freecoster hub
@theofilosandonioy85467 жыл бұрын
How much does it costs and what afr tbe deferences
@AirdBMX7 жыл бұрын
you have to look at the different hubs for prices and for cassette you have to pedal backwards and freecoaster you don't

@@Filip-sp2vk Took me 3 weeks to get it but I only just learned how to do it on a cassette earlier this month. On a cassette it took me about 5 hours total over a few weeks.
