One other tip for blacksmith grinding that I found last night is to forge a blade out of red iron. Once done, take the finished blade to the recycler and it'll reset the blade back to what it was before you hammered it. So you can literally forge the same blade over and over again.

@@Boosted_E_ as of last time I checked, you can just put it in your backpack and take it out to reset the visual bug, and you don't even need to do that to make it work on a handle. In fact, you can make the bug happen with a blade that's already on a handle.

if you want to grind wood cutting use a battle axe as its really slow to cut down trees and will grind you exp

If you use 2 flint you and get really low to the ground worms can't hit you and you can do the dagger method with no need to make weapons.

You can also do the bowl handle method while low down so that it has the extra speed (and neither flint or bowl handle method takes durability)

with archer you can also shoot 5 arrows into the back of a shield and bash them into the enemies, got max rank in about an hour with alot of server lag

With the crafting system I've seen so far I think they are changing the standard of how we interact with items in VR. Learning game dev myself, I realize a lot of people don't know how hard it is to optimize/port a game from PC to the quest 2 ... I think people forget the quest is a stand alone running Android as well. But I have very high hopes for this game!

You can level archery by firing four or five arrows into a shield and then using that shield to hit enemies with the arrow tips much the way you would with a bowl handle. Dual wield for twice the XP!

I would say to use a gold hammer, then use a ton of copper (doesn't need to be copper) to make a bunch of small copper objects and smack away

Yo, achery has a method way easier. Just take any shield (preferably larger ones) and shoot 3 (or five if u got a big shield) rusty arrows into the shield. Make sure that when you shoot its not shot in the front but in the back so that the ends are facing outwards. then go to a groterra and spin it around them. also it blocks attacks which is very nice. Its simaller to 2nd method of melee

I’m not sure if this works anymore but what I used to do for blacksmith xp is take a rock and put it on a stick and use that as a hammer. It is a very weak hammer and work the same way as the mining and wood cutting method

When grinding for wood cutting XP, do the circles need to appear when you make a hit? When I’m chopping down trees, sometimes there are circles, but sometimes not. What’s up with that? I’m not sure if I’m actually getting any XP, even though it does cut the tree down.

afaik the circles just tell the quality of the hit, sort of a visual representation of how well you're hitting, not if you're getting xp or not

Anything that deals damage gets you xp. Just try to make sure that your weapon deals low damage per hit for farming it.

For Archery XP, you can just shoot some arrows into a shield, and smack things with it. Also, to answer your question, no, that would count as Melee XP.
