Edit: I cut out the drumstick and thigh bones now for my older dogs. Takes a bit more time but it helps them a lot. I feed them on average once a day. I also add some baked sweet potato, sometimes regular boiled potato, and organ meats like liver and heart. I also boil the bones to make broth for them. Whole milk from the store seems to be fine for them too in any amount.

When my standard poodle just died, my toy wouldn't eat. So I started giving her raw chicken thighs. I buy organic, hormone free chicken thighs with no bones - I should start getting the cuts with the bones though. I do freeze any raw meat I give her first as I understand that kills e.coli/salmonella and any pathogens. Thanks for your video. The dog food industry has made billions on crap food that's "easy" - she LOVES her raw chicken (I cut with scissors too) Thanks again, your dogs look happy & healthy.

Good point! We give them raw chicken liver and hearts occasionally for treats. I should be giving them more liver though. Ill start buying frozen beef liver for them tomorrow. Thanks for mentioning that!!!

I found this disinfectant called chlorhexadine for $17 (Used in vet’s offices for cleaning up after each patient, and in operating rooms) A gallon of concentrated chlorhexadine solution lasts a long time. I ordered mine on Amazon and while I was at it, ordered some decent spray bottles along with it. I just use about 5 Tablespoons solution to a quart of water. It sits on my counter and I use it whenever I’m making my dog a meal. I wash my hands, then spray a little on my hands too. I’ve also heard some people train their pups to eat in a designated area, on a mat that you can clean.

I dont know if anyone will see this but this kind of diet is really bad for dogs. Dogs have evolved alongside modern humans for over 10 thousand years while being able adapt and evolve faster due to their short lifespans. Dogs diets have adapted to rely partly on grains, vegetable, and fruits due to the fact that they evolved with humans and ate the same things humans have eaten. If you want to feed your dog something healthy than look up videos of how to make vet approved dog meals. This is lacking alot of essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Also chicken legs skin is high in fat which is really bad for dogs. Top meats I would recommend if you wanted their diets to be closer to wolves would be to incorporate venison or rabbit meat. I prefer lean ground beef or lean turkey meat.

Less than 1 percent of people that have viewed this video, leaves comments and assuming 10 times the amount of commentors are just readers, than more than 80% of the people that viewed this video without reading any comments just leave with what ever ideas you put out in the video. You have done no research into dog nutrition and just provide your own personal anecdotes as proof you're doing something right. Also you should look into how sweet potatoes and peas are contributing to dog heart disease since you mentioned that you feed you dog sweet potatoes

I do give them organs from time to time. I forgot to mention it in the video. No I dont cook their eggs. I also give them cooked sweet potato mixed with butter once in a while.

Yes once a day. Sometimes I skip a day because they just arent hungry enough to finish a whole bowl if you feed them everyday. The days I dont feed them chicken, I give them 3 eggs each.

The raw chicken stays good in the refrigerator for about 5 days. I usually keep my chicken in the freezer. It lasts a long time in the freezer.

Chicken gives my dogs diarrhea. Do you think its the difference of being cooked. I haven't given them raw yet. I'm afraid it will upset their stomachs. And, my dogs are 22 lbs, and 35 lbs. How do I know how much too feed?

Any cooked meat will give dogs diarrhea. Their bodies easily process bacteria thats normally harmful to humans like salmonella. Dogs eat raw meat. Thats their natural diet. I just feed them until they are so full that they stop eating. And I only feed them once a day. If you dont want to give them the bones, then at least chop off the cartilage and joints off the bones so that they have some substance to make thier poops more solid.

At an early age I wouldnt recommend giving them bones. Other than that, they can start eating meat as soon as they start eating solid food.

For puppies the best food is definitely ground beef. If thats too expensive I would chop chicken breast into small chunks so it doesnt choke. Also give it raw eggs and whole milk.

I would cut the bones out for puppies that young. I also cut bones out for the older dogs. I use the bones to make a broth for them.

No vet would recommend a raw diet due to the risks involved. I boil the chicken before I give it to my dog, mix in some boiled eggs, olive oil, carrots, Broccoli, peas, cauliflower and its good to go.

That makes dogs gassy. Its not normal or natural. They dont have thumbs or hands to start a fire with. They didnt evolve to eat cooked food like us. Its been years and Ive fed them like this everyday and they are happier and healthier than ever. The vets had my dogs on 4 different meds and on dog food that was literally killing them. Veterinarian practices are in it to make money. Just like doctors and mechanics. I dont trust any of them.

I have a pitbull that size. One time after 2 years of feeding him like this, he choked on a drumstick bone and I pulled it out of his throat for him. I cut that out now for him. The drumstick bone is really hard compared to everything else.

No. I stopped feeding the drumstick and thigh bones because theyre getting old now and have a hard time chewing through them. I just cut all their chicken now into chunks and I grind up the spines in a meat grinder. I also chop off the ends of the bones for them. Im gonna make another follow up video to this one next month. I take the remaining bones and boil them for a broth for them to enjoy after a meal.

Very informative video, i just have a quick question, i have a 7 month APBT, weight about 41lb. Do i need to boil the chicken first or can i just give him raw, because all these websites are talking about bacteria etc which is confusing, and make no sense because has far has i know, wild or domesticated animals are suppose to eat raw, but your input would be helpful thank you.

Raw. I just smell the chicken first. If it smells rotten, i dont give it to them. If it smells like raw chicken, good to go. Boiling the chicken for like a minute wouldnt hurt I guess. They make chicken sushi like that in japan hahaha.
