Canadian here I used to live in near the coast in British Columbia and I had 5 hummingbirds that wintered around my house. Even rescued one during a really bad cold snap by putting him in a box with holes. Left him in the bathroom until morning. Gave him a little feed in the morning and then off he flew to the trees he normally sheltered in. Pretty bossy guy. Also beeped at me in the morning when I would go rehang the feeder. He even rested on the feeder when I was putting it out. As if to say. It’s about time I’ve been waiting for you. Lol

Hi Robbie, oh my goodness you have a lot of humming birds to feed! They sure do love your feeders! Mine , here in Oregon are very territorial and so guard the hummingbird feeders fiercely. Yours seem so much nicer and allow other hummingbirds to feed while they feed. I put out many feeders , 4-5 and most of them are under my eves so rain water does not dilute them.

We have the Ruby throated hummingbirds during the spring, summer, and fall, and they are very territorial. I scatter my feeders throughout my yard, flower beds, and garden and that helps some.

I love this video! Your hummingbirds will love being protected from the rain. 18 of my feeders are protected from the sun and rain. The rest are in shaded areas, but I do need to make covers for them. That's a project that I will do after the holidays so they will be ready by spring. ❤😊😊❤

Live in the midwest. In the summer we hang banana peels over the branches of trees. They bring in the fruit flies and the birds have a hayday. Had one actually land on a peel and pluck off the flies.

@jwater6313 сағат бұрын
If you use dish soap, just rinse it very well, as you would your dishes 😊.

The more hummingbirds that you have, the more likely that you will see them taking a bath. We have around 100 hummingbirds every year and I see on average 2 to 3 hummingbirds a week taking a bath. I need to put cameras pointing towards my birdbaths because I am guessing that I could see more taking a bath.
