How to feed your infant 5-weeks old Doberman Puppies

How to feed your infant 5-weeks-old Doberman Puppies to get them wined off their mother’s milk by mixing puppy kibble with raw goat milk ($10 per gallon at your local farmer that raises goats). Just pour 2 parts of milk per 1 part of kibble to begin and as time goes forward reduce the milk to 1 part milk to 1 part kibble, after which you reduce the milk completely. By this time the puppies’ teeth should be fully developed. The puppies will be ready to Regina thereafter. If anyone knows a better way, please let me know.

Not sure if someone already mentioned 🙈...I first take the dry food and put in a ziploc bag and then hammer the 💩 outta it with a rubber mallet...I only do this cuz in my eyes their teeth aren’t mature enough to chew the pieces...jus my 2 cents...Im probably doing wrong 🤔

I would strongly recommend you use 2 bowls, 5 per bowl atleast.

I usually use two. For future puppy litters I’m actually thinking of using each individual bowl, but I think starting them off so the puppies have others to share with may help with their social and interaction skills in their future. :)

@@marcelsuciuFARMS when my pups are 3 and 4 weeks, I put their mush on cookie sheets. At 5 weeks, I use individual bowls. I always add cottage cheese to kibble as well. Good luck!

Can you use store bought goat milk?I can't get my 5 week old puppies to drink water... they still try to nurse, I tried beef broth ( no luck) formula, and wet food..I'm running out of ideas . Help!?

@@pinkpugardens hello PinkPuGardens, Sorry to hear you’re having bad luck. My experience has only been with purchasing from my local farmer directly from the goats milk. It was not boiled or processed in any way before I soaked the kibble in the milk. They eat the milk just like it is. On our last litter - check out @suciufarms KZbin channel (that one is the new KZbin channel; this is my old channel) we used formula for puppies for one of the puppies in the litter that turned out beautiful and healthy. There is specific formula that you can get from Petsmart or a pet store. Let me know what you’ve done and hopefully I’ve been some help.

IM now feeding them Royal Canine. In this video I believe I was feeding them another good brand but my male Doberman - ZEUS got picky with food after growing older, so Royal Canine seems to grow with their taste buds.

I did not feed my dobe pups kibble until they were quite a bit older, at 5 wks i fed them canned good dog food mixed with a bit of water, they wd choke on the kibble; too risky. i dont think that bowl has enough food for 10 pups...

You are right. That’s why we usually fed them multiple times or in a couple bowls either until they stopped eating or lost interest, but also when Momma BELLA was around, they would quickly loose interest because she also supplemented their food. It’s important for the puppies to get momma’s food so long as she is willing to feed them and they are always willing to eat from her. It may vary between puppies, although should not be a lot, and my kibble was soaked in goat milk so hard to choke on something that is the same consistency as the soft canned food you probably fed them. Before I must the kibble with the goat milk, I feed them goat milk only, then I do the kibble with the milk, and I ease off the goat milk as their teeth come in more and more until the kibble is dry and when they are wined off momma, and vaccinated, and more independent, they are ready to go to their new adoptive homes - usually around 8 weeks of age.

@@marcelsuciuFARMS thats about what i did, they still fed off the dam, but i fed them 4 times a day in big wide bowl, arranged them evenly around the bowl. In about a week they showed way more interest in the dog food than their mother.

Can I feed my 6 week labrador puppies dry kibble?? One of them does not like milk at all and gets sick so we can't feed him milk

Of course dry food is recommended and best. The soggy food will make the teeth rot if used a prolonged amount of time. The dry food is also good for their gums. The only reason for the goat milk is to help the puppies get winned off from their mother’s milk.

@@rachetanarwal2399 hello, I let mine eat and I just watch them. I don’t let them put their paws inside the bowl and if they do it too many times, they get their paws taken out the first couple tires, after which they get taken away from the bowl. There is really no over eating, because they are growing. The bigger they are, the better they will develop. Watch their tummies. If they tend to be over bloated, take them away from the bowl. I usually only have one or two of those guys. Most of them are just going to walk away before the food is finished. Where are you located at? How many puppies was your litter size?

The past week one of them ate too much and was constantly throwing up so we contacted the vet who said not to let them overeat and restrict their food amount . But I've been doing that but I'm worried if they're going hungry or something
