Nice. This is really helpful. I like making the overhead layout in real life for organization. It's how i laid out my office and workshop in the garage. The scale explantion is also super helpful.

I have ref photos of an old station Building which has been demolished. Unfortunately I don’t have a straight on view , only partial and skewed views. The scale I am trying to achieve is 1:76 or 4mm to 1 ft This will be helpful. Thank you. I will be scouring your videos for other tips

In terms of laser cutting or engraving, I have seen people color the lines differently, depending on whether it’s a through cut versus an engraving. Is that something that usually needs to happen for cutting software to determine what to do?

Great question. This is usually done in whatever software you use to send to your laser cutter. In my case, with my laser cutter, the color of the lines in Illustrator do not effect the laser.
