I bought a Bubba AC about 2 years ago. Really like it and seems to be built well. Heavy ext cord to keep the motor strong. Have filleted a lot of gills plenty of power and love all the blade options for different sized fish. Owned Mister Twister and burned the motors out too cheaply made imo. I own American Angler and there also a good knife but I prefer the blade design of the Bubba. Only negative I’ve heard on the Rapala is long term reliability.

Great to hear that you’re enjoying your knife. I have heard the same on the Rapala. Will be interesting to see how the new one lasts. Thanks for watching and your feedback. I appreciate it 👍👍

I’ve had the Rapala knife for 6 years, with no problems! Looking forward to the new Rapala lithium ion!

I definitely have to practice more with my electric. Grab a fork to hold down your fillet when skinning, it works great

Potter, if you didnt cut the fillet all the way off the fish at first (just to the tail) you can use the rest of the fish as a handle to hold onto during the skinning part and wont have a need for longer nails....just sayin lol

Why cut fillet off of the tail ? Why not flip the fillet onto board skin facing board & using fish for leverage remove the skin then flip to other side and repeat procedure. To remove the rib bones place rib side down facing board and slip knife between ribs and flesh and debone fillet.

pin bones?

Those typically dissolve when you cook them otherwise you can take them out

At least knock the damn things out before you start cutting into them.
