We cover A LOT of tips and tricks in just a 14 minute video for corporate filmmakers! We take you behind the scenes on how we filmed cinematic footage of a brew pub restaurant we filmed that included a cinematic cooking video in the kitchen as well as a cinematic brewing promotion video showing the process from beginning to end of how this brewpub brews their own beer. We also explain in detail our simple testimonial / interview set up in terms of equipment used, lighting techniques, camera angles, audio and more.
As we always preach on our KZbin channel, we take the extra time on many of our client's video sets to explain how we film all types of videos! We film many types of behind the scenes videos to prove that you don't have to lock yourself into one specific niche of filmmaking to be a successful filmmaker. It's more than OK to branch out and leverage your skillset as a filmmaker and apply what you know to things like music videos, corporate video, real estate, wedding film, fitness cinematic videos, restaurant videos and more.

Fantastic background video, guys! Thanks heaps. I literally wrote 2 pages of shot ideas while watching this. I have a restaurant shoot of a friend's German Haus restaurant coming up, so so much of this was relevant. Cheers a million! (Also, I have an S1 as my primary cam, so nice to see that anything is possible with that platform, too). Ah, just a quick Q: what focusing did you use on the S1? manual/auto/what type of auto?
@RoyalZProduction
@RoyalZProduction 2 жыл бұрын
Ayyeee hahaha what an insanely relatable video for you then! That’s awesome! And we strictly use manual focus with the S1. Unfortuantely Lumix hasn’t gotten up to speed with Canon or Sony on their auto focus system and it’s always been very unreliable.. so we stick to manual. Be sure to subscribe if ya haven’t yet as well! Appreciate your support!

Really handy for begineer :) Small feedback, background music is louder than your voice. It makes the listner to adjust accordingly

Can you tell me what types of contracts did you use for this production? ( model release forms, production, location release forms)? And where all the people in the video actors or did you get civilians also?

New to the channel . Loving your content so far ! I peep that you have a team for this project . How important is that compared to trying to shoot solo ? How much shared footage do y’all use ?
@RoyalZProduction
@RoyalZProduction 2 жыл бұрын
Hey man! Glad you’re enjoying our content! So yeah, at the time of this video, we had two employees as well as myself (Anastas) and my business partner Kyle. Myself, Matt and Dyson were on set for this. Matt was filming BTS then Dyson was filming 24fps handheld shots and I was filming 60fps handled and gimbal shots. Having a crew is important as it saves time on set. We also filmed about 6 interview videos in various areas of the pub on top of all of the Broll. The shared footage was equally used for the final edits.

@@RoyalZProduction thank you so much for that input . I’m trying to set up a video/photo business with my brother and this helps me a lot in planning ahead of what we would do on our projects and the fact to even use him more often period . I’m going to watch some more videos and get some more confidence so I can land some paid gigs . Thanks for the reply .

Just rewatched this to prep for my German Restaurant shoot I mentioned before :)- sorry, but one more Q: I notice on the S1 that you don't stick to the 180degree rule- how important is it, really in this situation?
@RoyalZProduction
@RoyalZProduction 2 жыл бұрын
If there’s shots where you want more ‘action’ and to eliminate natural motion blur, when filming in 24fps, you keep doubling your shutter speed. So you start at 1/50, then go to 1/100, 1/200, 1/400 so on and so forth. This is how you properly increase your shutter speed values

Sometimes I use the audio from the mic but for higher quality audio fx, I use Epidemic Sound (free trial link to it is in my bio if you wanna check it out). I've been using Epidemic Sound for about 4-5 years now

I could’ve shot a very similar video using no gimbal, $1000 sony a6400 setup and Aputure pc60 panel lights (only $400 each) and wireless rode lav mic. Comes down to your composition, lighting, choice of music and sprinkling in sound design!

@RoyalZProduction
@RoyalZProduction 2 жыл бұрын
@@Mohdzn choice of music and sound design is 100% an excuse to spend extra money. When I started getting a better understanding of suitable music for my videos and adding sound design into my edits, it unlocked up a whooooole new level to my videos. I tell people this.. spend the money when you feel you’re tapped out from your gear. When I first started filming videos, I used the Lumix GH4. I used it for an entire year and a half before I upgraded to the GH5 because it offered so much more options that my GH4 didn’t offer and the GH5 upgrade not only improved my image quality but most importantly made for a more convenient camera body all across the map. I only upgraded once I felt my old camera was starting to hinder the quality and capabilities of my videos. Also to note - if you’re a serious videographer, purchasing equipment isn’t a ‘purchase’. It’s an ‘investment’ and can be paid right off with the freelance work you shoot.

If you mean the VLOG audio, yeah, we used a rode shotgun mic and filming in an operating restaurant so yeah, it was a bit load at times but not much you can do. This video we also didn’t have to do and didn’t have to go out of my way to edit it to give away free game 🤷🏼‍♂️
