5:34 I really like the blue tones of the city lights in the background. Paired with the orange light it looks nice

Loved every shot. Very useful info. Great pacing. Here’s my thoughts when your doing head talking shots. Cut the music out to draw listen in to emphasis what your talking about

If you want to make it even more dramatic, shoot on the shadow side. Shooting on the key side makes it kinda flat from a cinematography standpoint point. Great video though, the fx3 is a beast of a camera.

@@braxtonwoullard1188 appreciate the tip my friend! If I did shoot on the shadow side tho at night, you probably wouldn't see me haha.

Great tips! Really enjoy your content. My eyes have been set on the Fx3. Do you mind sharing your codec/PP used?

Thanks Matt, glad it was helpful! ❤ Yes of course, I'm always using PP8 Cine Gamut with XAVCS 4K, shooting between 25 and 50P. The FX3 is a beauty, you'll love it!

What are you using for White Balance settings?
@Addrian.9 ай бұрын
Generally a grey card, for this though from memory - it was somewhere between 4000 - 4500 kelvin.

Great video mate! Can you tell me how you keep your shadows clean?
@Addrian.2 ай бұрын
@@Bruno_fyi thanks Bruno! Yeah of course, so there's two things here; 1. I light for the shadows. 2. To keep the noise minimal and the shot clean. I keep my ISO to the base ISO of the camera. Theres a great quote I think of a lot and it goes; "Good, better, best. Never let it rest, till your good becomes better and your better becomes best."

Many low light tutorial videos don't mention white balance settings I don't know why..it's important too..(The reason I'm watching this hopefully to find the right white balance settings)
@Addrian.9 күн бұрын
Hey Jejakmaknawi, there's actually a reason, pending on your light set up your WB will vary. For night scenes as its generally bluer I'm normally around 4000K though again it'll really depend on your lighting situation or if you're using just natural light. If you want the right WB settings I do have a tip for you to help you out. Get yourself an 18% grey card and use that with your camera to nail your white balance.
