For decorating my house I use the Room Design app you get from the DLC, just count the _x_ space for each room, adjust it in the app, and use those items! I think it's very useful if you've got some inspiration but don't know specifically how you want to get it done/what custom designs/where furniture goes!

After spending forever unsure what to do with it and just having a crafting table, mirror, closet and kitchen in it, I figured why not just make a crafting room when that's what I would usually use it for anyway? Especially with so many crafty items in the game after 2.0 So my main room is a crafting room with a little sewing/cosplay area, a crafting bench with a shelf and model kits next to it, a low long locker with some crafting items on top of it and a small puzzle area because I like puzzling

OMG!! YES! I'm currently starting with the terraforming and with the DLC, so my poor house is completely forgotten! (Should I keep paying Nook for renovations if I don't use the house more than a storage? Because I think that goddamn tanuki is taking too much profit of it!! ¬¬ ). I want a dark academia cozy victorian house (with some cutesy things like bears and toys, because one can be darks and metalhead and like cute stuff :D ), but currently... It's sad. The bedroom is forgotten, even if it's the most "purposely decorated" one. So these are definetely good ideas. :D
