Thank you very much Anders , for putting yourself out here in interspace for our education and entertainment. I find it most interesting to see how things are done in other lands . I live a similar life here on the west coast of Canada , from the mountains berries , down through the valleys deer and fungi , onto the beaches shellfish and seaweeds and then onto the ocean for some fish , my neighbors , many from Scandinavia , and I do live in a slice of paradise as , it seems , do you. Enjoy and thank you again for sharing

very nice video. so much debate over how to harvest. I would think since nature has sustained these in natural conditions, that plucking would be the most natural. cutting is not a natural event. I did not know you could harvest them even when it appears the tops are dried. are they still edible? or are you just eating those stems. Morels blend into the scenery. These chanterelles really pop! i'm excited to look!

It has been a few years since I picked mushrooms. However I remember cutting Chanterelles, not pulling them out of the ground. By cutting them you are allowing them to come up again and again. You cut them close to the base and wait for a few days and they will come up again. Cheers:)

+Julie Andrews that is wrong you might see another one but they only come up after a good rain. and if you see another in a few days it was already there when you saw the first one incase you are not looking at them all different sizes they are all about the same size.

these are easy to find in the PNW. Look at areas that have been logged and replanted 10-15 years ago. You need that wood to ferment for quite some time and get covered by enough vegetative matter before mycelium will even take to it(pine, douglas fur, Cedar) because of the oils in the wood. I have filled 6-7 five gallon buckets in only a few hours doing this :D
