Thank you for this. It not only helps me as I date but it's a reminder that if I want a Godly man I have to be equally as such. I've come across a lot of "Christian" men who bolt as soon as I tell them I will not have sex until marriage. It lets me see exactly where their heart is and I let them know right away so as not to waste my time.

Its so concerning that many men who claimed to be Christians didn’t want to date you because you were not going to be sexually immoral~which as Christians know~ is A sin. Only one way. They have to have two things: 1. They follow The HOLY BIBLE not they're desires; to the point that if they hate something they still do it because it's written. 2. They have faith based on miracle testimony so that they will never fall away from one. Any other reasons could cause adultery out divorce. The above two will ensure they will be a GODly spouse even if they fall out of love with you. As long as they do not misinterpret The HOLY BIBLE. If they marry you because you are just what they wanted it something similar then when you are not at all what they wanted they'll divorce, so only the two numbers above work. Ask old couples, of they didn't divorce anyone you'll hear something to the effect of they stayed married because of covenant or that just what you do or they don't believe in divorce, but never because they clicked well or because they loved them so .much

I've been married and divorced twice to two men, each of whom have been remarried for over a decade...the first for three decades. At the time, neither of us were believers. I became a believer a few years ago. Must I remain single? Does 1 Corinthians 7 apply to me? I'm 56 with Lupus and other health issues. I don't want to live out the remainder of my life alone without a companion. I also do not want to sin.

Becky C I agree. It’s always “young” adults. There’s no room for us middle aged singles in the church. Think about it. There’s groups for young adults, young marrieds, married, & of course the kids & teens. It’s almost like it’s taboo to be middle aged & single at church.
