How to Find a Helltide Commander in Diablo 4?

EDIT: Season 3 Update.. Season of the Construct this is another seasonal objective!!, so hope this helps you all out!
Diablo 4!! Season of the Malignant!! Trying to finish up those seasonal objectives??
Trying to find the Helltide commanders during an Helltide?
The Helltide Commander spawns at the end of this event "Those Who Call the Storm" and the event called "Portal Invasion" found here ( • Portal Invasion - Hell... ). So look for the event markers on the map and find the glowy orange circle or , or for this storm event look for the giant tornado covering your screen and then complete the event!
As always watch out for those random meteor showers during the event, they can wreck your day!

It's back for Season 3 as a Seasonal Objective. Look for this Event and the Portal Invasion event (kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqKWdIdojq2onsk) to kill those Helltide Commanders! Good Luck!!!

Yep, thanks. Just realized commanders spawn at the special Helltide events. Spent ages looking for Kixxar-something (the huge Helltide bug boss), as I've always thought of it as a random/wandering Helltide boss and can't seem to find him (always found him when I WASN'T looking for him lol), but I guess any Helltide boss will do. And there's at least 2 other, the one you had on this event and the "Portal Invasion" event one.

This is back again in season 5 and this time it requires 20 kills! Ugh! This objective is such a pain. Finding these events is never easy.

I did this event while the option was active twice and I'm still showing 0/5. Thought they might be referring to a different commander, but I guess not?

Apparently there are 5 Helltide Commanders, and you have to kill all 5 with that elixir active. Here are their names so you can track who you have left to kill. Hopefully that helps you out! Cruxx Delakzus Nemnos Zurden Skeizal

I guess I wasn't wrong when they are suppose to be spawned at events, but they don't always spawn. I found that out. Only certain events in season 3. Ugh. RNG. Anyway, since when was there 13 potion slots? Haven't played since the base game but there was only ever 9 max from all the renown in the base game.

It's my unique pants. Tibault's Will. Has a perk that adds 4 potions.

I scour entire zones for these when the Helltides become active and never see them, are they RNG spawns or does WT3 not spawn them?

They appear in WT3 and 4. It's just random at the end of any event. Seems to be purely RNG though that tornado event has had the best luck for me. Hope you find one!!

My question is not how but where. Are they just random locations or set locations. Spent all day yesterday trying to find one.

Keep an eye out for events circles / markers in the Helltide, They can happen at any of those, so it can just be a lot of running around in those hotspots.

Good question. Don't think so, cause the event ends after you defeat them. But you never know I suppose 🤔
