I created 3 type of resumes, one for Civil Engineering / Construction Project Supervision (which I have not really used), one for Hospitality (which I used once and got a job right away while looking for something more formal), and a second one which I used to get the job where I am right now (at a coffee laboratory for a huge importer ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/mF61i2arf6-Vr9U if you want to see some of what I do here now ) ). I also used LinkedIn, they seem to use that a lot here in Australia, so I had that updated ( gt.linkedin.com/in/andresranero/ if you want to check it out ). For sure they gonna call Barcelona like never! They don’t check or considerate your education or experiences and profession from home. They care what have you done here or even enjoy to giving you lesser pay if they hiring you having such high education in a job like this. It’s so common here that cleaners are actually aviation engineers, waitresses are holding bachelor degree of sciences and so on.... good if you find your supervisor with a high school diploma..., so basic at home. They don’t speak languages and if you do like most of us at least 2 or 3 foreign languages thats a disadvantage with the accent we naturally have. Bcoz we aren’t from here! but in my personal opinion they are just jealous they wish they’d speak other than English. Welcome to Australia 🇦🇺!

Do we need to use the same type of resume for farm work fruit pickers. BTW some or rather most of the applicants are unable to communicate in English but are keen to work as farm laborer. Many companies make covering letter upload as a mandatory field on their job portal. However, some are okay to not have it. It's good to send one, even if not asked. Alternatively, if you're sending an email, you can include the content of your cover letter in the email itself, instead of sending a separate document.

As compared to US-format which tends to be shorter i.e. 1 page only, Australian resume is generally 2 or 3 pages. Don't go over 3 pages.
