How much money did you save before moving to make sure you wouldn’t run out of money before getting a job?

I live in Australia, i honestly think you should have at least $5000 Aud just to cover yourself. Also dont full into the Sydney trap.... Sydney has very expensive rent, Its more a tourist attraction to be honest. Places like Brisbane and the sunshine coast have cheaper rent and your still close to amazing beaches.

I am planning on moving on a Working Holiday Visa, and on the immigration website they recommend to have at least 5000 Australian dollars in your bank account :) that's excluding visa costs and flights though
