Rogee. I am 71 years young and in my younger days a Meat Hunter for 5 years, bush hunting and shooting most deer at ranges 40-70. We used map and compass, hunting skills and a great deal of hard work. I want to give you a huge shout out on behalf of all hunters. How easy you make this! Top notch mate, thank you as you extend my hunting years using a 7mm Rem mag from a Blind. Cheers, Brother

Hi Rogee, very good recon, well documented and should be inspirational to other blokes. Reminds me of a couple of blokes who wrote up an article on their fishing trip to NZ twelve years ago. They virtually did as you described but looking at access to out of the way fishing spot for a two week camping trip and ending up fishing the Mohaka River. They did such a good recon from the maps and Google that they came out of the bush after successful fishing trip that lasted twelve days. Just goes to show that all that SJW training came in useful, and they didn’t have to worry about unfriendly natives. Now the Taniwha is another story! Great video, congrats. Cheers mate. Harera

these type of video are great and very helpful, what are the chance of doing more or a series from this one to completion as in stage 1 Research stage2 Recon stage 3 spotting target stage 4 engaging target stage 5 recovery stage 6 field dressing stage 7 processing the animal.... just an idea Rogee as this would really help us RAT's (recreational Armed Trampers) get a better plan than just walking around the bush hoping to find a deer LOL. Keep up the great work Rogee

Great tips. We can do something very similar in New South Wales (NSW) hunt NSW app. Us hunters alway hope no green group try to shut this process down.

Hello Rogee, exactly as you describe I plan my trip to NZ Sout Islend, I plan to use helicopter service and stay overnight in huts and tent, wander around the mountains a bit, could you also discuss the legal aspects with the license for foreigners and bringing your own guns. I don't mean for services for hunters where someone puts a deer under the gun for money, I want to wander a bit myself and integrate with your beautiful nature. Would you like to discuss how a foreigner can handle it, Thanks for your whole channel, I'm a regular viewer, Andrew from Poland in the EU.
@rogeeproductions2509 Жыл бұрын
Hi Andrzej, good to see you planning your South Island trip with the use of the info I provided in the vid. As for the rules for bringing a rifle into NZ - You need to obtain a visitor’s firearms licence and an import permit for any firearms you wish to bring

In Google "Earth" so called 'satellite' images, the steepness of terrain is indicative only. In mountainous regions, Southern Alps, the slopes, spurs, are exaggerated. In reality, on ground, these are less steep. In populated areas where there are more commercial aircraft providing data the images are closer to the real thing. Interesting that close view of ground and features are always blurry. From state of the art telephotography ? Yet, in space pics, minute meteors are crystal clear. lol _ CGI, anyone ?
