I was at a very clean campsite that I loved. I left for a few days came back and a family was in the same spot so I went down the road and waited for them to leave. The next day I came down the road and it was empty but they had left the fire pit full of trash and dirty baby diapers. I would say they were lucky I didn't get there as they were leaving because they would have picked it all up. People are much nicer when they see you carrying a 12g and a side arm. I'll even supply the trash bags.

When I was working on a Forest service road job (called Man trap) up Thompson River back in 1992, we had no out house or facility..We would do the dig a hole and bury thing every evening.. I would use the same hole as a resident black bear would dig it up and consume it like candy..My friend who was a hunter said he was done eating bear meat after that lol.. I carry the same thing when camping, stay safe..

I love it when youtubers show camping areas....Am more of a fan of state parks and COE campgrounds though especially COE's cause they're so cheap for all the amenities...Staying for $10-$15 a nite with amenities is right up our alley....We have the America the Beautiful senior pass so everything is half off in those parks....But to be honest here without trying to be a hater, KZbinrs have worn out the southwest with their videos...It seems just about every inch has been covered by folks times ten....I would even much more prefer im sure to your chagrin your home state over the southwest simply because there is so less videos about Montana compared to any southwest state...Have you folks ever considered doing a travel season series about your states state parks or COE parks ???...There are many of both in your state... Just a thought....Travel safe, always stay well....P.S. how come you folks aint traveling with a best fur buddie LOL ???? Think that family member would fit right in with you folks....See, i got plenty of things for you folks to do lol !!!

Right there with you, I could rant for hours. It's to the point where we expect to spend anywhere from 15-30 minutes cleaning up a site when we pull in now. Pack it in Pack it out includes: your garbage, your dogs poop, your poop (pack it or plow it). Pack it in pack it out doesn't mean throwing everything in the fire ring including non-combustibles like cans and bottles. It's lazy and rude. There are countries that can only dream about the amount of and beauty of our publicly owned lands, that some people feel they have the right to trash them is infuriating!

I was camping at a very popular camping area on 89A a while back and was also amazed at the amount of toilet paper that was in the shrubbery around the area. So I got a trash bag and started cleaning up and came to an interesting conclusion. There was very little solid waste around and all of these wads of toilet paper hadn't been used for that. It was mostly being left by females after they'd gone #1. Apparently they feel that picking up after themselves is beneath them and I guarantee you could fasten a trowel to every bush within a quarter mile and you'll still find barely used toilet paper everywhere there's a popular place to camp especially if it's near a college town.

Beautiful area down in the canyon. We drove through on 89A, and the scenery is so amazing. We came across a large herd of big mule deer. The north rim road wouldn't open for another week, so that area is still a bucket list item. That was a very stylish tote bag, I bet it will keep the flour low humidity. 9000 feet, keep breathing deeply. Some folks not experienced with higher altitudes just need to understand, if you're short of breath, breath fast, and deep to reoxygenate. Yeah that's gross about some disbursed campsites, findind used TP starting 20 feet into the woods and brush all around you or tossed into the stream. Worse if your pets find it and bring back to camp 😮 A Five gallon bucket, heavy duty black garbage bag, add kitty litter, lavender scented is popular, do business, finish paperwork, pull out bag of debris, twist and tie, place in garbage like doggie bag or baby disposable diaper, cross finish line as a good citizen. Perhaps you could do a demonstration video Rick. 😮😅😊. Take care, you guys.
