How to convert sahibinden into english from Turkish.

Open the app. Click on the menu on the top left side. Click on "Bana Özel". Slide down to the bottom and select "Dil Tercihi". There, change "Dil" from Türkçe to English. Hope this helps. Pinning this comment so that others may benefit too.

Hmmm perhaps. I'm seeing it. Did you scroll down all the way to the bottom in Bana Özel? It's under the *Diğer* heading. Anyways, hope you're able to change it.

At the very bottom right side of the website, there's a button saying Türkçe. If you click it, you will find another option saying İngilizce. Click that option and the website will convert to English.

But just like the app, the website perhaps doesn't have full English support, so an additional thing you can do is to install the Google translate plug-in inside Google Chrome and it'll automatically detect Turkish pages and translate them to English for you.

You must write your email in the Turkish language. Then translate each answer back into English. Always communicate in the Turkish language all the way through your apt search and completion.

Yup. The rents have highly increased now due to inflation + TL devaluation. You will not find an unfurnished 2+1 for less than 2000 TL now. Expect ~2k-2500 TL minimum. May be higher based on locality.

1. They're mostly fixed with little negotiation margin since all apartments are shown on the same app, i.e., Sahibinden. 2. For gas: İGDAŞ, for electricity: ENERGISA, for water: İSKİ 3. We bought all our furniture and electronics stuff from Trendyol and Hepsiburada apps. They're the best. One advice: do check for reviews and ratings of the product before buying.

Thanks for the details and sharing your experience. With all the difficulties of rental (the 3x payment and deposit issue etc...), I think it's not worth the hassle and stress if staying for only 1 year residency permit. At first, I thought rental would be cheaper than hotels.

Hello there. Actually we're living in far eastern side of Istanbul and probably this neighborhood would not be suitable for you. All the dealers whose contact numbers I have deal only in this local neighborhood. You can easily find a lot of dealers in the neighborhood where you want to rent the house. I'd recommend only going to dealer shops which are affiliated with Sahibinden. They usually have Sahibinden yellow sticker with a big S attached to their entrance doors. Good luck!
