Hello, Thanks for the video, if i may ask is the scholarship only for research courses? If not does taught based course also need supervisor too?

@@tomilolaoladipupo2485 to the best of my knowledge I haven’t seen any taught PhD. Because PhD is always about research and create novelty in your domain. However with research PhD you always have the opportunity to take few courses related to your PhD. I hope this helps.

@@tomilolaoladipupo2485 if it is written in eligibility criteria that you need supervisors then I believe it’s for both degrees.

@@patriciablankson8070 yes it is the requirement of IRC before proceeding for application that you get a supervisor and he/she agreed to supervise your IRC PhD. Otherwise you might fail the eligibility quiz at first stage.

I have got a Supervisor. but my question is it mandatory to get acceptance from universities ?? because I have seen other KZbin videos that say getting acceptance from universities is mandatory not only getting a supervisor from the university.

@@samuelabitew-o2m yes it’s mandatory however it’s a next step. I.e you will get scholarships from Sep 2025. Once you got confirmation from IRC in May2025 apply in the university where your supervisor belongs. And trust me once you have IRC in hand no university rejects your application. 😊

@@samuelabitew-o2m keep following up with your previous email as well as try to contact new ones. I believe you have given a correct subject in your email. Also I recommend to mark your email important before sending.

@@MuhammadHammad-j8l Thanks for your comment and I am happy to know that my video guide you. The answer of your question is that if you have any project idea sharing it with the professors will be beneficial. The supervisor will guide you refining your idea and if that’s not the case he/she might ask you to submit proposal based on their ideas. In both cases it’s worth it. I hope it helps.

@@iqrayasmeen8487 fully funded means fee wavier, travel and equipment grant and stipend. If you get successful then you can apply for visa of your spouse along with your application.

@@deejaff my question is there is no option on the IRC application portal where I upload my official transcript of degrees. So, where i will upload my educational documents? Secondly, is there any other website i need to fill like university application form etc or only fill IRC portal application right now

@@WithMariam911 so by the end of online application there will be an upload button there where you should all the figures only one pdf document which should be properly referenced in the application where required. If there is no transcript upload option no need to upload. Once you get selected the university research office will contact you for transcripts for cross check. Also I believe you have supervisor who agreed for IRC supervision, ask him/her for the university enrolment because it is mandatory to be enrolled in the Irish university which supports IRC funding. Thank you so much for this informative video I am applying for the 2025 Government of Ireland Scholarship Program and one of the criteria to be eligible for this application is to have a primary supervisor, based in an Irish Higher Education Institution, who will act as a supervisor for the project and also willing to supervise the proposed research project. I am a Nigerian and I intend to apply for the scholarship. Can I possibly find a supervisor who will act as my supervisor in order to apply for the scholarship? Again, is there a particular institution that I must find a supervisor? Thank you so much

Thanks for your kind words, I suggest to apply IN UIG, UCC, DCU, UCD, UI or Trinity College if you find a supervisor od your domain. You should apply to the institutions that support IRC funding. You have to research about your supervisor. I suggest to watch kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5aZqJRuhpVgrpYsi=3B1B2pTNvIEm6caN to make it clear how you can research and contact a supervisor. Is it a fully funded scholarship, i mean studying, ticket, Visa Resident fees ..etc

@@soudjouddris no it’s includes fee wavier equal to EU fee, if you are non EU you have to pay the rest. It also give you monthly stipend of nearly 1800€ which is good for a student. It also provides the necessary equipment and travel cost for research.

@@soudjouddris I don’t think so however if you discuss this with the supervisor and you have a strong academic background with strong project proposal, supervisor might help you in full fee waving. However, ticket, visa, accommodation etc you have to manage yourself.
