That would be very difficult to pull off as this game uses a sprite sheet rather than 3D models. They would have to make entirely new frames of animation just for one other expression.

I think the corpse doesnt show up if a player is already playing the character , For example imagine im Knuckles , i dont think my dead body will appear in the level then.
