Well, I checked the waterholes for diamonds like you said. I travelled to a frozen lake in the Taiga, I spotted a Male Moose like you said, and voila, the first one I spotted and shot was Diamond, you ma'am are a great hunting teacher ;-)

I already got 3 diamonds by casually playing, this info is amazingly helpful though! After watching I figured my playstyle is the reason I ended up with diamonds pretty much by accident and I think it's a good rule of thumb: Take your time spotting animals and prioritize the highest level male for your first, clean shot. Also get into the best shooting position you can and use weapons you feel comfortable using. When in doubt go for a double lung from ~150m. I personally had the impression that, the more overpowered the gun, the easier it is to get double lung. Also you sometimes accidentally get lung + liver hits or liver penetrations from a botched hit that would have been a intestine/stomach hit (when you aim for an angled lung shot but the movement/wind etc. get in the way) I probably lost a few potential diamonds by trying to hit with the crossbow past 70m so maybe do the target practice on low level groups until you really got it down. I'm a bit disappointed how "little" xp and money diamonds give or even gold ones. I think 500xp was the best I had so far. The game should reward quality over quantity far more so you don't feel tempted to butcher through an entire herd.

it’s funny you said that you can’t just spend half an hour on a map and expect to find diamonds. i jumped onto silver ridge peaks for the first time, played around 30 mins and shot a diamond pronghorn 😂😂

Good video with good info. But for a game ....spending 3 real time hours at a time looking for higher level animals is a bit much for the average gamer. The developers need to fix this badly. I work full time, have a house and family to take care of, plus general daily duties that all grown mature adults have. Spending 3 hours straight on one game, should you be lucky to get that long of a game session, is a bit much to ask for just to get a nice trophy. It's just a game and doesn't need to be so difficult to get kills in. I actually enjoy hurting on red dead for legendaries than grinding this game for 3 to 4 hours just for a possible gold or diamond. Which I still haven't got a diamond yet after more than 30 hours of play. You already spend a great deal of time just trying to unlock locations on a single map and learning all the need zones and stuff. Really want to like this game but the amount of time the developers made this game require is ridiculous. In 3 hours I can prepare, plant and harvest several fields in farming simulator 22, and still kill a few legendaries in red dead. Lol

I get that lake hunting is easy mode but doesn't the lack of difficulty and the monotonousness of limiting the game to almost exclusively lake environments make it boring to people? On the other hand I get that hunting in dense vegetation is not the most efficient way to go about it as you have to track and sneak a lot more but to me it's more fun than playing call of the lake

I have to say, that I've never gotten a Diamond from a level 4. Never gotten a diamond mythic either when they can become legendary. Not saying it is not possible, but it sure as heck seems unlikely.

Getting a diamond from level 4 would just be plain LUCKY! I got a diamond from Level 3 when I reset my game to a do a beginner guide. It was at the only lake that I had access too. Just plain luck!

For an alligator, you can use any class 4-8 rifle. I use the 308 but you can use the 3006, M1, 7mm, there are lots of options.

3 hours is not an option for me. reason why I only have 11 Diamonds total after playing since release. I can play for maybe an hour at a time. One of the reason I hardly play anymore. Not very fun hunting females or silver males. Ocasional golds.

I enjoy hunting randomly. Just as how hunting males increase trophy rating, I have noticed that hunting the female of the species increases chances of rare colours. Let me know if this checks out right.

I shanked a shot on my 2nd ever diamond potential animal it would have been my 2nd diamond but it moved as I shot and I got a bad shot. I think the roe deer was a 266 trophy rating so it would have been diamond

Always helpful videos,i learned a lot by watching the guide videos you post.I saw you doing the moose grind on medved taiga and decided to try it myself,i could have probably picked an easier animal to do this but it is what it is. There's one thing i don't understand fully,is it neccesarry to find all drink zones or does it work without discovering them all,if so then it would just take more time to spawn a diamond or a potential diamond since i would not go trough all the drink zones and i would not respawn animals on so many drink zones like you but it should still work,right? I dont feel like exploring and discovering all the drink zones,70+ zones if i remember correctly from your medved taiga videos. Currently i have all the zones on the big lake,the small lake with 2 zones that are opposite of each other,the twin lake and the long frozen ravine/narrow lake with 20+ zones(27 is all zones i believe) and it somewhat works for now,i had mostly females on the big lake and i managed to spawn males,lvl2 and lvl3 for most of the zones on the big lake but like i already said,i dont know if you need to have all the zones or does it just give you a higher chance of spawning one faster since more zones equal more animals to shoot and to respawn?

You only need to find all of the zones if you're doing a grind. not necessary otherwise

I got my first diamond last week. A grey puma. Fur colour is uncommon which is nice. I have 189 hours into the game, and that's the only diamond I've ever come across. Insane that you have close to 900

Do you have the right skills and perks? Every new map has at least 5 diamonds on it. Just need to find them. Search the edge of all of the water sources during drink time and spot everything
