How to find good bootleg figures on Aliexpress

Love the video. Alot of my friends hate that i buy bootleg figures however no one even noticed they were bootleg until I said I buy them from wish or aliexpress. I was praised for my collection and now some of them turned haters. Goes to show that people can't even tell the difference and they are salty because I got them cheaper. Some of them look okay, but I've noticed they smell different than normal figures so whatever they use in their plastics could be seriously dangerous to your health. Visually though, many of them do look the part okay so long as there are no complicated hard to replicate painting techniques or anything.

I disagree as someone who did buy a bootleg before and eventually decided to collect real products. based off of my experience, i got a emilia nendoroid bootleg that had a broken leg, a few scratches, and a heavily damaged box. and the stand couldnt even fit in emilia’s back properly. overall, you’re better off saving up for a real one. more expensive, but atleast doesnt look shitty. by purchasing bootleg products, you’re supporting illegal chinese companies that should have never existed. unless you’re really tight with money and have a very low budget, go ahead.

I was always scared of getting scammed on aliexpress cos I heard of bad aliexpress reviews but I ordered a figure and it has just arrived in the country I live in so it’s going positive so far. I’ve also seen reviews on the figure in question and they were positive. Edit: figure arrived today and I’m satisfied. I’ve seen KZbin reviews saying that all the joints are loose on the fake but mine didn’t have such problems apart from the neck being lose but I used a little blu tac to secure it a little more.

Some Bootlegs are pure crap and will fall apart as soon as u open them and then there are others that are even better than the originals. The best and easiest way to find out what u are buying is to go to KZbin and watch a review on your fig of choice (simples).

It always depends on your and seller's warehouse location. For most of EU it ranges from 2 weeks to a few months. I would advise to check tracking and see if it got held up in customs office. The main thing to look out for is your order's protection time - if it's running out, demand seller to extend it as order has not reached you. Due to current events in the world it's best to be patient, all parcels are taking longer than usual to arrive. Last and final step to take (after asking to extend protection time and when that starts running out) is to open a dispute and to explain the issue, demand the money to be returned.

i buy bootlegs because offical plastic ones should not cost 200 or 100 or 60 or 50 or 40 or 30 . marvel figures i collect legends and revoltech i get bootlegs off i am not spending the jim lee blue and gold team 90s comic x-men for each figure just because they are jim lee are worth 100 plus now for legends now i get bootlegs instead

I know this video is old but I figured I'd give it a try anyway and see if anyone knows. Is it possible that Aliexpress sometimes sell legit non bootleg figures? I bought a fairly rare figure from them that from what I could tell from some research online does not have any bootlegs made of it? It has no faults in paint or anything like that and the face is perfect/just like the pictures online.

They do, but they often cost far more than literally anywhere else. A $30 figure for example, might be going for $45 on most retailers because stock is low or such and on ebay- then it probably costs like $65 on aliexpress if it's real. Sometimes bootlegs don't have much of a quality downgrade; if they are figures where room for error is small. Errors occur mostly because of difficulty replicating complicated paint mixing or things like that; if it's just straight up "Colour this in, apply this sticker here, put a wash on that" then it will often be almost exactly 1:1 copy.

I spent like $80 on 3 anime figures from AliExpress and One is so obnoxiously beautiful that I’m kinda worried it’s gonna turn out like trash. I will update my thoughts on it when it arrives. Update: The figures came in, two of them IMO is beautiful the other one not so much. They came in dirty and chipped in places but the overall look is nice.
