I would love an episode over common Korean childhood games. Like we have Red Rover, Rock Paper Scissors, etc. I know a few but I would like to know more! I see there are also some Korean word games that I would like to know more about

For word games there is this one which is also played by japanese, the one where u give a word and the end of the word is taken by someone else and then this person need to create another word from it (Example in korean -dont have korean keyboard available sorry-: Jeong-o > o-hu > hu-chu...) and u keep going until someone reach -ng, if s/he does, s/he lost because u cant create a word from it. There is also the werewolf game, which is more known as Mafia game i suppose.

감사합니다! This will be so helpful to me! I had never thought about using the Naver dictionary like that, and I'd never noticed there is a Hanja section, too, until watching this video. I've just recently started studying Hanja (and the TTMIK Hanja book is amazing!) and would love to be able to easily search for lots of words that contain 門, for example. I just went to the Naver dictionary and typed in "*門*" on the Hanja page and got so many examples of common words! This will be a huge help in my studies. 정말 정말 감사합니다!

What is the difference between 보아요 and 봐요?
@palmtree1958
@palmtree1958 5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what context you've seen 보아요 in, but 봐요 is the present-tense conjugation of 보다 (to see). 봐요 could mean 'I/you/he/she/they/we(**insert any pronoun or viewer pretty much) sees' or with a question mark becomes 'did you see?' I'm fairly sure 보아요 is simply an alternate way of writing 봐요, however it only works for present tense. You can't write 보았어요 and expect it to mean the same as 봤어요. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%EB%B3%B4%EB%8B%A4#Conjugation This link shows a table (if the table under Conjugation doesn't immediately appear, you might have to click 'show') which shows the spelling of each conjugation for 보다 under categories for politeness level and its situational application. I find them very useful, and I hope you do too :)
@Vlog1cal
@Vlog1cal 5 жыл бұрын
when you conjugate verbs, there are some cases where vowels can merge into a single vowel, so when you add ~아 (or any derivatives) to a verb stem ending with ㅗ they can merge to ㅘ
