Is it possible to find beautiful, free places to camp in your RV? Absolutely! We boondocked in our Grand Design Travel Trailer just outside of Banff National Park FOR FREE! It was our first time boondocking on public land and it feels like we just unlocked a secret code to budget friendly, full-time RV life. Using Campendium and iOverlander we found a gorgeous, waterfront campsite that feels like it's going to be tough to beat on our year long rv trip. If you're wondering how to find great boondocking spots- start by watching this KZbin video for RV life beginners.
Thanks for watching!

You can use a cordless drill with proper socket to quickly and effortlessly lower or rail your sizzler jacks. Works great. Enjoy and be safe

so you made a video that just said “we used iOverlander and Campendium” … dislike, not subscribing. how about more info that you claimed would be in the video? coordinates to this spot? packing list? research process? cost of propane and RV use versus campground?

I wanna move to the US and live in an rv fulltime and only dry camping unless there is no place for that in that area. But I'm not gonna watch my water use or shower in a river😂 There are other options if you are near a river.. you can buy special water pumps that pump water from a river through a filter and make it drinkable and fill up the water tank in your rv.🤷 That's what I'm gonna do. I'm always gonna dry camp near a river and use a special water pump to fill up the tank with river water that is filtered.

Comment: I absolutely love the RV life! It's such a great way to explore the outdoors and spend quality time with family. Speaking of outdoor gear, have you heard about the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series? It's a versatile powerhouse that can keep your devices and appliances running for extended periods. With its massive capacity and fast recharging time, it's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like us. Check it out!

Thanks for sharing another great adventure, George and Crissa. My most important takeaway from it is to make sure I shave my armpits before entering the cold, crisp river near Banff 🏞. 🥶 😂 Keep up the great work. Signed your friend in Tampa, Florida. ☀️ 🏝

Hi there! Sorry if this is a dumb question…. You’re allowed to bathe in the water like that with soap ect?
@georgeandcris
@georgeandcris Жыл бұрын
Not dumb at all! In retrospect we shouldn’t have bathed in that water with soap. This was our first ever experience like this and we didn’t know that it’s best to bathe (with soap) at least 200ft from the water and into a small hole. There weren’t any signs anywhere and we thought it was okay because the soap is “biodegradable.” Turns out even all-natural, biodegradable soap can cause issues in these aquatic ecosystems. Lesson learned. Thanks for asking!

Thanks George & Cris on this insightful video about bathing in glacial melt water. Wishing to avoid a similar stimulating experience (at my age it'd probably result in a heart attack), I am now going down to the basement and rummage through my old backpacking stuff to find my Sunshower and putting it in the camper.

🤣🤣🤣 Wow a sunshower would have have been VERY handy! We need to look at getting one for situations like this that will arise in the future when boondocking. Thank you for the recommendation.

I would never be able to get in that water. I would have to boil on campfire and use it.
